20100144624PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF COMPOSITIONS OF AT1 RECEPTOR ANTAGONIST AND ANGIOTENSIN-(1-7) - We describe preparation of compounds of an AT1 receptor antagonist(s) and Angiotensin (1-7), for example, Angiotensin-(1-7) losartanate and analogues thereof, and/or mixtures of these systems, pharmaceutical compositions thereof and use of their derivative products. Cyclodextrins and derivatives thereof may be used for the micro-encapsulation of compounds, for example, Angiotensin (1-7) losartanate, liposomes and biodegradable polymers and/or mixtures of these systems and/or derivative products for the obtainment of nano- or microparticles as controlled or sustained release devices of Ang-(1-7) losartanate and analogues and/or mixtures thereof. The compounds may be used as agents for treating or preventing hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, heart hypertrophy, heart failure, coronary diseases, such as angina pectoris, endothelial disorder or endothelial lesions, as a consequence, for example, of atherosclerosis processes or in association with diabetes mellitus. They may also be used in the study and therapy of cardiovascular, renal, reproductive, dermatological, neoplastic, blood and cerebral diseases, and when formulated in controlled release systems, encapsulated or not in cyclodextrins, for use in stent, with a view to modulate the growth of the neointima after catheterization procedures.06-10-2010

20080312129Use of Mas G-Protein-Coupled Receptor Agonists and Antagonists, as Apoptotic-Activity Modulators for Study, Prevention and Treatment of Diseases - The present invention is characterized by the use of Mas G-protein-coupled receptor agonists and antagonists as apoptotic activity modulators for study, prevention and treatment of diseases. It is further characterized by the use of Mas G-protein-coupled receptor agonist and antagonists for modulation of the apoptotic activity involving alterations in the activity of the protein kinase B/Akt. Another characteristic of the invention is the use of Mas G-protein-coupled receptor agonists and antagonists, including the Ang-(1-7) peptide and its analogues, agonists and antagonists, either peptidic or non-peptidic, as modulators of apoptotic activity for study, prevention and treatment of degenerative diseases of organs and systems, as an auxiliary measure for organs transplantation, treatment with embryonic, non-embryonic stem cells, re-implantation of organs and tissues and other treatments that need temporary or chronic reduction of the apoptotic activity, not limitative. The invention further claims the use of Mas G-protein-coupled receptor agonists and antagonists, including the Angiotensin-(1-7) peptide and its analogues, agonists and antagonists, either peptidic or non-peptidic, formulated with pharmaceutically and pharmacologically acceptable excipients or carriers, as modulators of the apoptotic activity.12-18-2008

20110317714COMPACT AND ADJUSTABLE POWER DIVIDER AND FILTER DEVICE - A power divider and filter device includes one input port and several output ports, and is configured to make several cavities in which resonating posts are located, one post per cavity. The cavities communicate some with the others by means of openings. Cavities are arranged in such a way that and input signal incoming the input port propagates through the device by coupling. The cavities and the resonating posts are configured and arranged in such a way that, as it passes through the device, the input signal is, by one and a same operation, filtered and split in as many output signals as the outputs the device comprises, the energy of the input signal being spread out between the outputs.12-29-2011

20120096058OPTIMIZING BROWSER CACHING THROUGH DETERMINISTIC MARKING OF FILES - Enhanced browser caching is provided through a file identifier attribute employed at a front end server level for deterministic marking A front end server may use an attribute of a file identifier such as an attached parameter, a pattern, a directory associated with the file, or similar attributes to change the links it emits into other content in order to prompt the browsers to request new files. The attribute may be changed (e.g. incremented) based on a web change associated with the content being served.04-19-2012

20110186624NETWORKED WASTE PROCESSING APPARATUS - The present invention is related to methods and systems for waste disposal. In one embodiment, a waste pickup apparatus comprises a network interface configured to communicate with a networked waste disposal unit associated with a first user, a data store containing user rules, processor executable instructions configured to read a user-specified waste pickup rule for a first user from the data store, determine if the user-specified waste pickup rule is satisfied based at least in part on the status information, if the user-specified waste pickup rule is not satisfied, to again determine if the user-specified waste pickup rule is satisfied when a predetermined period has elapsed, and if the user-specified waste pickup rule is satisfied, cause a waste pickup entity to pickup the waste, wherein the waste pickup entity is selected based at least in part on a preference of the first user stored in computer readable memory.08-04-2011
