Faucet Locking Device - This patent describes a locking device for securing a standard hose bib faucet. The current implementation consists of two manufactured interlocking pieces of hardened metal that wrap completely around a faucet in clamshell fashion. Once affixed, a person can then attach a lock, such as a standard padlock, to secure the device. Once the device is in place and locked shut, the device completely prevents unauthorized access the faucet, which among other things prevents significant amounts of wanted water. Because the device also wraps around the connector between the hose and the faucet, theft of an attached hose is only possible by completely cutting the hose below the extrusion from the device, thereby deterring theft. Specific device coatings can be used to protect the outside of the device from the elements or chemical manipulation to add to the protection factor. | 01-29-2009

SCREW COMPRESSOR WITH INTEGRAL BEARING COVER AND DISCHARGE PLENUM DIVIDER - A three rotor screw compressor is provided with a bearing cover, and an integral discharge case having a divider wall formed integrally with the bearing cover. The bearing cover closes bearing chambers for each of three rotor shafts, and the divider wall divides a plenum into two distinct chambers. By providing the divider wall, noise and efficiency losses from intermixing of two discharge flows from two separate compression chambers is eliminated. By forming a divider wall integrally with the bearing cover, leakage which has existed in the prior art is eliminated. | 06-03-2010

START-UP PROCEDURE FOR REFRIGERANT SYSTEMS HAVING MICROCHEMICAL CONSENSOR AND REHEAT CYCLE - A refrigerant system has a condenser of microchannel design and construction and includes a reheat cycle. The reheat cycle includes a refrigerant flow control device, such as a three-way valve, for selectively routing at least a portion of refrigerant through a reheat heat exchanger from a location between a compressor and expansion device. A control for the refrigerant system selectively actuates this refrigerant flow control device to route at least a portion of refrigerant through the reheat heat exchanger at system start-up. | 02-10-2011

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELECTRONIC TRADING THAT PROVIDE INCENTIVES AND LINKED AUCTIONS - Systems and methods for electronic trading that provide incentives for gathering orders, making markets, and submitting block orders, and that enable linking of multiple auctions are provided. These systems and methods may first determine if the trader qualifies for an incentive. This determination may be made based upon one or more characteristics, such as price, size, duration, etc., of orders submitted to the trading system by the trader. Once the trader has been determined as being eligible for one or more incentives, the incentives that are provided may include reduced transaction costs, cash payments, priority or exclusivity in trading, self execution of transactions, etc. Similarly, before an order is eligible to be traded in an auction that is linked to another auction in the trading system, the order is preferably confirmed as qualifying to be auctioned in such a manner. Once an order is confirmed as qualifying for a linked auction, the auction is created and preferably linked to another auction based upon a characteristic of the order, such as price. In addition to being linked, information from each auction may be made available to traders in the other auctions. | 10-02-2008
SYSTEM AND METHOD THAT PROVIDE INCENTIVES TO QUALIFIED USERS OF AN ELECTRONIC TRADING SYSTEM - Systems and methods for electronic trading that provide incentives to users of a trading system. The systems and methods may monitor a trading activity of the user and determine that the orders submitted by the user over a period of time exceed a first pre-determined threshold. Systems and methods also determine that a spread of the plurality of orders exceeds a second pre-determined threshold. Based on these determinations, the user is designated as qualifying for a special status, which entitles the user to incentives in trading. Systems and methods apply the incentives to an order submitted by the user. One such incentive provides the user with a priority in a trading queue, where orders submitted by the user are executed in advance of other orders in the trading queue. | 12-02-2010

Pitching and Hitting Training Aid - A training device for detecting improper or proper form for batting and pitching. The present invention makes use of two sensors that will detect the positioning of the user during the pitching or batting motion. The invention helps detect whether the user is “lunging” or “rushing” and encourages users to keep their upper body back during the motion of pitching or batting. The present invention can also be used for other sports that require users to perform similar body mechanics. | 05-05-2011
