20080264660 | Lubricant System For Powered Hammer - A powered hammer includes a housing, a tool holder coupled to the housing and configured to hold a tool, a motor within the housing, a cylinder disposed within the housing, and a piston slideably mounted within the cylinder. A drive mechanism converts rotary output of the motor into a reciprocating motion of the piston. The drive mechanism includes a crank shaft rotationally driven by the motor, a drive pin eccentrically mounted on the crank shaft, and a con rod with a first end connected to the drive pin and a second end connected to the piston. A ram is slideably mounted forward of the piston that is reciprocatingly driven by the piston. A beat piece is slideably mounted forward of the ram. The beat piece is repetitively struck by the reciprocating ram, which in turn repetitively strikes an end of the tool when held in the tool holder to transfer the momentum of the ram to the tool. Lubrication fluid covers at least part of the drive mechanism. A rear piston chamber is formed within an end of the cylinder, rearward of the piston, the volume of which repetitively changes as the piston moves within the cylinder, causing air within the housing to be at least one of drawn into and blown out of the rear piston chamber. The movement of air causes the lubrication fluid to move within the housing. A longitudinal passageway defined in at least one of the crank shaft and the drive pin enables passage of air and the lubricating fluid to assist in movement of the lubrication fluid within the housing. | 10-30-2008 |
20090188083 | HANDLE FOR POWER TOOL - A handle housing for a handle for a power tool, the handle housing having a first housing part; and a second housing part adapted to be mounted to the first housing part and subjected to a bending stress when mounted to said first housing part, the said first and second housing parts defining a chamber for accommodating one or more components of the power tool. | 07-30-2009 |
20090188692 | MOUNTING ASSEMBLY FOR HANDLE FOR POWER TOOL - A mounting assembly for moveably mounting a handle of a power tool to a housing of the power tool is disclosed. The mounting assembly has a metal bar ( | 07-30-2009 |

20120312571 | HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR POWER TOOL - A handle assembly for a power tool is disclosed. The handle assembly includes a base adapted to be mounted to a body of a power tool, and a handle having first and second mounting portions pivotably mounted to respective ends of the base. An elongate torsion spring has a first part mounted to the base and a respective second part mounted to each mounting portion such that pivoting of the handle relative to the base member causes twisting of the torsion member to resiliently oppose pivoting of the handle relative to the base portion. | 12-13-2012 |
20120312572 | HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR POWER TOOL - A mounting apparatus for mounting a handle to a power tool is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a base for supporting a handle and engaging a body of the power tool, a flexible strap for engaging the base at first and second locations to form a loop for retaining the support in engagement with the body of the power tool, and a clamping mechanism comprising a pair of wedges for engaging the base and the flexible strap, and a bolt for retaining the wedges in position relative to the base. A knob enables movement of the wedges relative to each other in a first direction to reduce the size of the loop and in a second direction to increase the size of the loop. | 12-13-2012 |
20130025897 | HAMMER DRILL - A hammer-drill including a body in which is mounted a motor and a hammer mechanism which is driven by the motor; a tool holder mounted on the front of the body and which is capable of holding a cutting tool, the hammer mechanism being capable of imparting impacts to the cutting tool, when held by the tool holder; a rear handle, moveably mounted onto the rear of the body via at least one movement control mechanism and which is capable of moving towards or away from the body; a biasing mechanism which biases the rear handle away from the body. | 01-31-2013 |
20130043052 | HAMMER DRILL - A hammer drill having a housing and a rear handle moveably mounted to a rear of the housing by means of at least one movement control mechanism is disclosed. A bellows is fixed to the handle and slidably mounted to a protrusion on the housing to prevent access to the movement control mechanism. | 02-21-2013 |
