20090113051METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR HOSTING MULTIPLE, CUSTOMIZED COMPUTING CLUSTERS - A computer system for hosting computing clusters for clients. The system includes clusters each including a set of computing resources and each implemented in custom or differing configurations. Each of the configurations provides a customized computing environment for performing particular client tasks. The configurations may differ due to configuration of the processing nodes, the data storage, or the private cluster network or its connections. The system includes a monitoring system that monitors the clusters for operational problems on a cluster level and also on a per-node basis such as with monitors provided for each node. The system controls client access to the clusters via a public communications by only allowing clients to access their assigned cluster or the cluster configured per their specifications and performing their computing task. Gateway mechanisms isolate each cluster such that communications within a cluster or on a private cluster communications network are maintained separate.04-30-2009

20090055477SYSTEM FOR ENABLING COLLABORATION AND PROTECTING SENSITIVE DATA - The inventive system facilitates collaboration between, multiple network users with respect to collaboration subject matter while maintaining the integrity of sensitive data. In one implementation, the system (02-26-2009
20090094674INFORMATION AGGREGATION, PROCESSING AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM - A utility is provided for managing exchanges of information within a context involving multiple users, for example, multi-user network collaboration. The invention enables automatic enforcement of a policy regarding sensitive information. The policy may be negotiated among the users and expressed as multiple rule sets that govern access to a use of sensitive information. The utility also logs activities involving sensitive information to ensure compliance with the policy. These logs can be audited by a third party or automatically processed for audit compliance by the utility. In this manner, an environment of trust is created which encourages fruitful collaboration.04-09-2009

20090136517COMBINED TREATMENT WITH AN EGFR KINASE INHIBITOR AND AN INHIBITOR OF C-KIT - The present invention provides a composition and a method for treating tumors or tumor metastases in a patient, comprising administering to the patient simultaneously or sequentially a therapeutically effective amount of a combination of an EGFR kinase inhibitor and a KIT kinase inhibitors, with or without additional agents or treatments, such as other anti-cancer drugs or radiation therapy. A preferred example of an EGFR kinase inhibitor that can be used in practicing this invention is the compound erlotinib HCl (also known as TARCEVA®). A preferred example of a KIT kinase inhibitor that can be used in practicing this invention is OSI-930 and OSI-817.05-28-2009
20100223680Methods for the identification of agents that inhibit mesenchymal-like tumor cells or their formation - The present invention provides tumor cell preparations for use as models of the EMT process for use in the identification of anti-cancer agents, wherein said tumor cell preparations comprise cells of the epithelial tumor cell line CFPAC-1, which are stimulated by receptor ligands to induce EMT, or which have been engineered to inducibly express a protein that stimulates EMT. The present invention also provides methods of identifying potential anti-cancer agents by using such tumor cell preparations to identify agents that inhibit EMT, stimulate MET, or inhibit the growth of mesenchymal-like cells. Such agents should be particularly useful when used in conjunction with other anti-cancer drugs such as EGFR and IGF-1R kinase inhibitors, which appear to be less effective at inhibiting tumor cells that have undergone an EMT.09-02-2010
20120064072Combination Cancer Therapy Comprising Administration of an EGFR Inhibitor and an IGF-1R Inhibitor - A method of treating cancer comprising: (a) identifying a patient having cancer that initially responded to IRS1 agent therapy and that has resumed progression; (b) administering an effective regimen comprising the same or a different IRS1 agent and an IGF-1 R inhibitor administered together or sequentially.03-15-2012

20100229367SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING PHOTOVOLTAIC PANELS - A system for securing photovoltaic panel modules to a support structure includes a first elongate member securable to the support structure. The first elongate member includes a plurality of first mounting sites positionally fixed thereon. A second elongate member is securable to the support structure. The second elongate member includes a plurality of second mounting sites positionally fixed thereon. The second elongate member is spaced from the first elongate member and aligned therewith in a generally parallel orientation. The position of the first and second elongate members is adjustable to align the first and second fixed mounting sites in a predetermined configuration. When the first and second elongate members are aligned in the predetermined configuration, the plurality of first mounting sites and second mounting sites are brought into alignment with each other to permit mounting of a plurality of panel modules to the first and second elongate members.09-16-2010
20120006386Junction Cover for Photovoltaic Panel Modules - A junction cover for a photovoltaic (PV) panel module system that includes a PV panel mounting structure, a rail, a PV module with a junction box and wiring extending between the rail and the junction box. The junction cover encloses the wiring and includes a base section, a nose section and a pair of feet. The base section includes a plate with first and second side walls extending downwardly therefrom to first and second edges to define an interior with an interior surface. The nose section extends from the base section to an open end and has a top wall, two sides formed by the side walls of the base section and an open side. The feet are located on either side of the open end of the nose section and extend therefrom. The feet engage the rail to secure the junction cover in place to enclose the junction box and wiring.01-12-2012

20100196366Gefitnib Sensitivity-Related Gene Expression and Products and Methods Related Thereto - Disclosed is the identification, provision and use of a panel of biomarkers that predict sensitivity or resistance to EGFR inhibitors, and products and processes related thereto. In one embodiment, a method is described for selecting a cancer patient who is predicted to benefit from therapeutic administration of an EGFR inhibitor, an agonist thereof, or a drug having substantially similar biological activity as EGFR inhibitor. Also described is a method to identify molecules that interact with the EGFR pathway to allow or enhance responsiveness to EGFR inhibitors, as well as a plurality of polynucleotides or antibodies for detection of the expression of genes that are indicative of sensitivity or resistance to EGFR inhibitors, an agonist thereof, or a drug having substantially similar biological activity as EGFR inhibitors. A method to identify a compound with the potential to enhance the efficacy of EGFR inhibitors is also described.08-05-2010
