20120070406THERAPEUTIC PROTEIN COMPOSITIONS HAVING REDUCED IMMUNOGENICITY AND/OR IMPROVED EFFICACY - The present invention provides methods for reducing and/or evaluating the immunogenic potential of a therapeutic protein preparation. The present invention further provides pharmaceutical compositions of therapeutic proteins and methods of treatment with the same, the compositions having low immunogenic potential and/or improved efficacy. The invention achieves these goals by evaluating therapeutic protein preparations for subvisible protein particulates, which can contribute significantly to the overall immunogenic potential of the protein preparation. Further, by maintaining the content of such subvisible protein particulates to below an immunogenic threshold level, the resulting pharmaceutical composition is less likely to result in a loss of tolerance (e.g., upon repeated administration), thereby improving both the safety and efficacy profile of the therapeutic.03-22-2012

20100315092FAULT PREDICTION IN ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION NETWORKS - A system and a method for measuring leakage current in an electrical transmission network. The system contains a plurality of electric current measurement devices distributed along the electrical transmission network and at least one central controller. The current measurement devices measure the electric current substantially continuously or repeatedly and report to the central controller. The central controller performs analysis of the measurements of the electric current along the transmission network and calculates the leakage current.12-16-2010

20100280352Method and System for Multi-Component Heart and Aorta Modeling for Decision Support in Cardiac Disease - A method and system for generating a patient specific anatomical heart model is disclosed. Volumetric image data, such as computed tomography (CT), echocardiography, or magnetic resonance (MR) image data of a patient's cardiac region is received. Individual models for multiple heart components, such as the left ventricle (LV) endocardium, LV epicardium, right ventricle (RV), left atrium (LA), right atrium (RA), mitral valve, aortic valve, aorta, and pulmonary trunk, are estimated in said volumetric cardiac image data. A multi-component patient specific anatomical heart model is generated by integrating the individual models for each of the heart components. Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI) simulations are performed on the patient specific anatomical model, and patient specific clinical parameters are extracted based on the patient specific heart model and the FSI simulations. Disease progression modeling and risk stratification are performed based on the patient specific clinical parameters.11-04-2010
20100332540CONDITION MONITORING WITH AUTOMATICALLY GENERATED ERROR TEMPLATES FROM LOG MESSAGES AND SENSOR TRENDS BASED ON TIME SEMI-INTERVALS - An approach is provided for condition monitoring from log messages and sensor trends based on time semi-intervals. The approach may be applied to machine condition monitoring. Patterns are mined from symbolic interval data that extends previous approaches by allowing semi-intervals and partially ordered patterns. The semi-interval patterns and semi-interval partial order patterns are less restrictive than patterns using Allen's relations. Combinations and adaptations of efficient algorithms from sequential pattern and itemset mining for discovery of semi-interval patterns are described.12-30-2010

20110300954UNIVERSAL JOINT ASSEMBLY FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE DRIVELINE SYSTEM - A die formed monolithic yoke assembly for a universal joint of an automotive driveline assembly subject to high torsional loads having a substantially uniformed thickness, including a cup-shaped portion, a pair of opposed lugs integral with and extending from an upper portion of the cup-shaped portion and an integral, outwardly deformed substantially continuous lip portion extending outwardly from the upper surface of the annular wall and the lugs substantially strengthening the yoke assembly particularly against torsional loads. In one embodiment, the upper end of the cup-shaped portion included concave arcuate portions on opposed sides of the lugs adjacent the lugs, such that the upper surface of the cup-shaped portion transitions from a concave surface to a convex surface strengthening the yoke.12-08-2011

20110006674METHOD FOR FABRICATING NANO-SCALE PATTERNED SURFACES - A method for fabrication of substrate having a nano-scale surface roughness is presented. The method comprises: patterning a surface of a substrate to create an array of spaced-apart regions of a light sensitive material; applying a controllable etching to the patterned surface, said controllable etching being of a predetermined duration selected so as to form a pattern with nano-scale features; and removing the light sensitive material, thereby creating a structure with the nano-scale surface roughness. Silanizing such nano-scale roughness surface with hydrophobic molecules results in the creation of super-hydrophobic properties characterized by both a large contact angle and a large tilting angle. Also, deposition of a photo-active material on the nano-scale roughness surface results in a photocathode with enhanced photoemission yield. This method also provides for fabrication of a photocathode insensitive to polarization of incident light.01-13-2011
