20090125114KNEE JOINT PROSTHESIS SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPLANTATION - A system for cooperating with an elongated IM member during preparation of a bone for receiving a prosthesis can include a scaffold, skeleton or frame. An alignment assembly can be selectively coupled to the frame. The alignment assembly can cooperate with the IM member to position the frame relative to the bone. A cutting block can be selectively coupled to the frame. According to other features, a posterior stabilized (PS) box guide assembly can have a PS box guide attachment portion that selectively couples with the first attachment portion of the frame. A posterior foot can selectively couple with a second attachment portion on the frame. The posterior foot can be positioned to occupy space of a joint line in an installed position.05-14-2009
20090149964KNEE JOINT PROSTHESIS SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPLANTATION - A method for preparing at least a first bone for receiving a prosthesis can include positioning an IM member in a bone. A scaffold, skeleton or frame can be located onto the bone at a desired location. An alignment assembly can be coupled to the frame. The alignment assembly can be moved relative to the IM member to position the frame at a desired location relative to the bone. The frame can be fixed to the bone at the desired location. A cavity can be reamed into the bone using at least a portion of the alignment assembly as a guide. The alignment assembly can be removed from the frame. A cutting block can be coupled to the first attachment portion. Cuts can be prepared in the bone using the cutting block as a guide.06-11-2009
20100198224Prosthesis and Implementation System - A prosthesis for replacing a selected portion of the anatomy is disclosed. Also disclosed is an exemplary method and apparatus for performing a procedure. The procedure can be minimally or less invasive.08-05-2010
20110046735Patient-Specific Implants - An endoprosthetic device includes a monolithic meniscal implant having a three-dimensional patient-specific tibial engagement surface nesting in and complementary to a proximal surface of the proximal tibia of a patient and a femoral articulating surface opposite to the tibial engagement surface for articulating with a femoral condyle of the patient. The meniscal implant includes a first portion and a second remainder portion, wherein the first portion is compressible relative to the second remainder portion.02-24-2011
20110230889DISTAL FEMORAL CUTTING GUIDE - A method of positioning a femoral cutting guide on a distal end of a femur establishes at least a first reference plane to perform a distal femoral planar cut. The method includes inserting a mounting member into an intramedullary canal of the femur and coupling a bridge member to the mounting member. The method also includes placing a cutting guide member over a medial anterior portion of the distal femur. The cutting guide member has a first channel that establishes the first reference plane. The bridge member has a bridge channel. A wall of the bridge channel is inserted into the first channel of the cutting guide member. A mounting mechanism generates resistance between the bridge member and the cutting guide member. The resistance is overcome by positioning the cutting guide member relative to the femur.09-22-2011

20080228189Distal femoral cutting guide - A system locates a femoral cutting guide on a distal end of a femur. The femoral cutting guide establishes at least a first reference plane to perform a distal femoral planar cut. The system generally includes a mounting rod operable to insert into the distal end of the femur. An index member is operable to abut the distal end of the femur. A bridge member extends from the index member. A cutting guide member extends from the bridge member. The cutting guide member includes a first channel that establishes the first reference plane. A mounting mechanism releasably couples the cutting guide member to the bridge member. The mounting mechanism is operable to generate a sliding resistance between the bridge member and the cutting guide member that is generally overcome to position the cutting guide member relative to the femur.09-18-2008

20080300461Endoscopic Device - An endoscopic surgical instrument for performing a procedure inside a patient. The instrument includes a handle assembly including a grip for holding the instrument and controls for controlling movement of the instrument. An elongate shaft having a grip end is mounted on the handle assembly. The shaft has a working end opposite the grip end. The shaft has a proximal portion adjacent the grip end and a distal portion adjacent the working end. The proximal portion has a centerline and is selectively rotatable with respect to the handle assembly. The distal portion has a centerline and is selectively articulatable relative to the proximal portion of the shaft. The instrument includes an end effector mounted on the working end of the elongate shaft. The end effector is selectively rotatable about the distal portion of the shaft.12-04-2008

20120042524CAST REMOVAL DEVICE - Apparatus and methods for cutting through a layer of material. Some embodiments pertain to the removal of an orthopedic cast in a manner that is quiet and generates little or no particulate matter. In yet other embodiments there are a pair of toothed wheels that press down and penetrate into the cast and then split the cast by moving it past a sharp edge. In some embodiments the cutting head is reversible for the cutting of material in either of two opposite directions.02-23-2012

20110248193METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SHIELDING MEDICAL PERSONNEL FROM RADIATION - Systems and methods for shielding medical personnel from radiation are provided. A radiation-shielding barrier is positioned between the medical personnel and the radiation source. The radiation-shielding barrier includes an opening such that a portion of the table extends through the opening in the barrier. Medical personnel are protected from secondary radiation transmitted through the patient via a special layering technique of a first, flexible sterile drape, a flexible radiation-resistive drape, and a second flexible sterile drape. The system includes an upper shield and a lower shield of independent movement and a linking mechanism between the two, while maintaining the radiation seal. The system also includes a mechanism for maintaining the radiation barrier between the upper shield and the patient aperture hoop, preventing a radiation gap from forming between the flexible portions of the system (e.g. flexible drapes, curtains, etc.) and the non-flexible portions of the system (e.g. upper shield, lower shield, radiopaque transparent window, etc.).10-13-2011
