20080271090Device, system, network and method for acquiring content - A system, device, network and method for acquiring content that is first transmitted via satellite and received by a satellite receiver such as, for example, a satellite radio receiver. The received content may be listened to (for audio content) upon receipt by the satellite radio receiver, yet may be acquired at some later time. Alternatively, the content may be acquired in real-time—that is, at or proximate to the time during which the content is listened to (again, using audio content as an example). To acquire the content at a later time, the listener captures a part of the signal which carries the content and which is received by the satellite radio receiver. The captured part of the signal may then be transmitted to a content provider that, in turn, transmits a copy of the content identified by the part of the signal to the listener.10-30-2008

20110149529PROCESSING OF ELECTRIC AND/OR ELECTRONIC ELEMENTS ON CELLULOSIC SUBSTRATES - The present invention consists of the direct deposition over paper of electric and electronic elements, single or integrated, including at nano-scale. The deposition, by virtue of the materials and scale utilized, is furthermore transparent, which allows the application of the present invention in the domain of graphic arts. The deposition is executed at close-to-ambient temperatures, an in a less controlled environment than that of traditional deposition processes. Furthermore, the low cost of printing obtained allows for the application of electronic paper to large surfaces.06-23-2011

20110253997SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME - Provided is a semiconductor device using a p-type oxide semiconductor layer and a method of manufacturing the same. The device includes the p-type oxide layer formed of at least one oxide selected from the group consisting of a copper(Cu)-containing copper monoxide, a tin(Sn)-containing tin monoxide, a copper tin oxide containing a Cu—Sn alloy, and a nickel tin oxide containing a Ni—Sn alloy. Thus, transparent or opaque devices are easily developed using the p-type oxide layer. Since an oxide layer that is formed using a low-temperature process is applied to a semiconductor device, the manufacturing process of the semiconductor device is simplified and manufacturing costs may be reduced.10-20-2011

20080213961PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A TFT DEVICE WITH SOURCE AND DRAIN REGIONS HAVING GRADUAL DOPANT PROFILE - Process for realizing TFT devices on a substrate which comprises the steps of: forming on the substrate, in cascade, an amorphous silicon layer and a heavily doped amorphous silicon layer, forming a photolithographic mask on the heavily doped amorphous silicon layer provided with an opening, removing the heavily doped amorphous silicon layer through the opening for realizing opposite portions of the heavily doped amorphous silicon layer whose cross dimensions decrease as long as they depart from the amorphous silicon layer, removing the photolithographic mask, carrying out a diffusion and activation step of the dopant contained in the portions of the heavily doped amorphous silicon layer inside the amorphous silicon layer, for realizing source/drain regions of said TFT device.09-04-2008
20100237391PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A LARGE-SCALE INTEGRATION MOS DEVICE AND CORRESPONDING MOS DEVICE - A process for manufacturing a MOS device and the MOS device manufactured thereby are disclosed. The process includes in a semiconductor layer forming a gate structure above the semiconductor layer; forming a first doped region within a first surface portion of the semiconductor layer; and irradiating the first doped region with electromagnetic radiation, to carry out annealing thereof. Prior to the irradiating step, a dielectric mirror is formed above a second surface portion of the semiconductor layer. The dielectric mirror, which may be of the Bragg-reflector type, reflects at least in part the electromagnetic radiation, and protects underlying regions from the electromagnetic radiation.09-23-2010

20120040170Thermoplastic Fiber Composites Having High Volume Fiber Loading and Methods and Apparatus for Making Same - A method and apparatus are provided which enable formation of a thermoplastic article having a high volume loading of a long fiber reinforcement. The method includes providing a first thermoplastic composite material having at least about 40 volume percent of at least one reinforcing fiber; providing at least one mold, the mold(s) each comprising at least one first mold section having an inlet and an outlet and defining a first mold cavity and at least one second mold section having an inlet and an outlet and defining a second mold cavity, wherein the outlet of the first mold section is in communication with the inlet of the second mold section; introducing the first thermoplastic composite material into the first mold cavity; applying heat and pressure to the first thermoplastic composite material in the first mold cavity until the first mold section reaches at least a first process temperature; releasing the pressure on the mold; and reapplying pressure to the mold while cooling, wherein at least a portion of the first thermoplastic composite material flows out of the least one outlet of the first mold section and into the second mold cavity, wherein said cooling solidifies the first thermoplastic composite to form a molded article having the shape of the second mold cavity. Articles formed from such methods and apparatus are also disclosed.02-16-2012
