20090033013MULTI-PIECE AUTOMATED FIBER PLACEMENT MANDREL AUTOMATED CLAMPING AND INDEXING SYSTEM - The present invention provides an automated mandrel clamping and indexing mechanism for a multi-piece AFP mandrel wherein a clamping mechanism is used in order to secure mandrel segments together as well as to join mandrel segments to end rings. The clamping mechanism is preferably integrated with an indexing mechanism according to embodiments of the present invention such that mandrel segments will preferably remain securely connected and aligned until air is applied to the clamping and indexing mechanism in order to unclamp the secured mandrel segments and remove the part being manufactured. The clamping and indexing mechanism preferably withstands the autoclave heat and pressure that is typically experienced during the curing part of the manufacturing process.02-05-2009
20090033040AUTOMATED FIBER PLACEMENT MANDREL JOINT CONFIGURATION - The present invention provides an automated fiber joint placement machine mandrel configuration where the lap joint is preferably parallel to the mold surface. Accordingly, the user may shim the mandrel segments without otherwise affecting the integrity of the seal. A lap joint is preferably utilized wherein mandrel segments are split at the stringer centerline through the middle of the hat or through the cap of the stringer. The lap joint is preferably designed such that the face sheets of the mandrel segments preferably lie flat on top of one another when placed in contact. The seal plane is thus protected.02-05-2009

20100207633LOCALIZATION SYSTEM FOR AN EARTH MOVING MACHINE - The invention relates to a localization system for localizing an underground object for an earthmoving machine comprising a working part. Said localization system comprises a fastening component and a detector component. The fastening component can be arranged on the working part for example by means of magnets. The detector component is adapted to detect the object using an electromagnetic field that can be associated with the object and is arranged on the fastening component so as to swing like a pendulum, thereby effecting an alignment of the detector component under the effect of gravity. Optionally, the localization system comprises an arithmetic component for deriving a distance information of the object from the detected value. The localization system also comprises a display component for displaying and/or forwarding the detected value and/or the distance information.08-19-2010

20100218098SYSTEM AND METHODOLOGY FOR IMAGE AND OVERLAID ANNOTATION DISPLAY, MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION - An electronic image visualization system, such as a music stand system and display, management and communications methodologies relating thereto are presented. The electronic music stand system is comprised of a performer subsystem comprising a processing subsystem, librarian logic, performance logic, and communications management logic. The communications management logic provides management of communication via the communications interface with external apparatus responsive to the performance logic and the librarian logic. The user input apparatus and the display apparatus can be integrated into a touch-screen input display. The user input apparatus can alternatively be at least one of a touch-tablet, a stylus-based writing tablet, a mouse, a keyboard, a joystick, a game controller, and a switch. In a preferred embodiment, the librarian logic, the performance logic and the communications management logic are defined by program data stored in the data storage apparatus, and the processor is responsive to the program data for managing data formatting, displaying music, and management of communications of data with the external apparatus. In one embodiment, two Performer subsystems are operable alternatively as one of a single appliance as a linked set a linked mode and as two independent appliances a stand-alone mode, wherein in the linked mode each of the two Performer subsystems operate cooperatively with each other as a linked set to provide a two page display on the video presentation, and wherein in the stand alone mode each of the two Performer subsystems operates independently and mutually exclusive of the other to provide two independent and mutually exclusive single page displays on the video presentation. The present invention also relates to a method for providing for video display of music responsive to the music data stored in a music database. The method is comprised of defining a page of music image data from the music database; defining ordered logical sections; storing the mapping in a memory for selective retrieval; and providing for the video display of the music responsive to the mapping and the storing.08-26-2010
