METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SAVING BANDWIDTH DURING BROADCASTING/MULTICASTING - Multi-channel network communication is improved by reducing the amount of data that is transmitted over connections that can stem from a similar source. Content of data packets transmitted from the source are reduced and the result is compared to previously transmitted data packets. If identical packets are found, then only an identification of the packet is transmitted. At the receiving side, the identification is used to identify a previously received data packet and use that as though it was the recently received packet. If a similar packet is identified, then the identification of the similar packet, along with change information is transmitted to the receiving side | 07-08-2010

SYSTEM OF INTERLOCKING BUILDING BLOCKS - A system of interlocking building blocks includes one or more building blocks having a generally right triangular planform, a generally rectangular elevation form, and a periphery generally defined by respective generally rectangular side panels. Each building block has alternating male and female fastener elements arrayed generally around the periphery. The male fastener elements on opposed edges of the same generally rectangular side panel are offset generally diagonally from one another. Each male fastener element is aligned generally normally with a female fastener element on an opposed edge of the same generally rectangular side panel. The building blocks may be formed by folding single flat sheets, and may be made from cardboard, plastic, metal or other conventional materials. Each building block may be coated or filled with structurally reinforcing or insulative material. Two interlocked building blocks may be geometrically distinctive in a manner which optimizes the system for simplified and efficient construction of walled and roofed structures. | 05-12-2011

ONLINE PAYMENT TRANSFER AND IDENTITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD - A payment transfer method for transferring funds from a payer to payee is provided, including designating a payee and specifying a payment amount and an account; debiting the funds from the account and crediting a first trust account; and identifying the payee by verifying responses received in response to one or more challenge-response questions defined by the payer. If the one or more responses are verified, a second trust account may be debited and a payee account credited with the payment amount. The first and second trust accounts may then be reconciled. There is also provided a payment transfer facility for transferring funds, comprising an application server for storing payment data relating to a transfer of funds and a notification server for providing a notification of the transfer of funds. | 05-26-2011

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INTELLIGENTLY REROUTING STRANDED TRAVELERS - A method is disclosed to intelligently reroute stranded travelers. The method includes receiving in a computer, a message from a customer containing preferences for travel services, including willingness to accept alternative travel services, and storing the preferences in a customer database. The method then includes receiving in the computer, a message from the customer containing a trip plan that includes at least one segment with a desired mode of transportation, a desired departure location, a desired time, and a desired destination, and storing the trip plan in the customer database. The method then includes receiving in the computer, a message from at least one travel service, including available scheduling for the at least one segment, and data for alternative times and modes of transportation, and storing the available scheduling and the data. The method then includes receiving in the computer, a message from the customer agreeing to the available scheduling for the at least one segment. The method then includes receiving in the computer, a message from the at least one travel service, that the agreed to scheduling for the at least one segment has become unavailable. The method then includes accessing the preferences and the data. The method then includes determining acceptable alternative times and modes of transportation from the data and the preferences for the at least one segment. The method then includes automatically scheduling one of the acceptable alternative times and modes of transportation for the at least one segment. And finally, the method includes sending a notification to the customer of the automatically scheduled alternative time and mode of transportation for the at least one segment. | 01-07-2010

SYNCHRONIZED GEAR SHIFT SYSTEM - A mechanism with an inner race, which has cams, an outer race and rollers between the cams and the outer race. The inner race has a first notch while the outer race has a second notch with a narrow portion and a wider portion. A member is disposed in the first and second notches. Positioning of the member in the first notch and the narrow portion of the second notch inhibits relative rotation between the inner and outer races and power is not transmitted between the outer race and a power transmitting member, such as a gear. Positioning of the member in the first notch and the wider portion of the second notch permits some relative rotation between the inner and outer races to cause the cams to urge the rollers outwardly so that the outer race frictionally engages the power transmitting member to facilitate transmission of rotary power therebetween. | 08-12-2010
