20080204013LOGGING METHOD FOR DETERMINING CHARACTERISTIC OF FLUID IN A DOWNHOLE MEASUREMENT REGION - For use in logging downhole in an earth borehole, a method for determining a characteristic of oil that may be present in a downhole measurement region, includes the following steps: providing a plurality of crude oil samples; determining the viscosities of the crude oil samples; performing test measurements, using a predetermined operating mode, on media including the crude oil samples to obtain test data; applying a test processing procedure to the test data to obtain an output test parameter relating to the test data and the predetermined operating mode; deriving, for the plurality of crude oil samples, a correlation relating the output test parameter to the viscosities of the crude oil samples; performing downhole measurements in the measurement region with a logging device, operated with substantially the predetermined operating mode, to obtain logging data, and applying a measurement processing procedure to the logging data to obtain an output logging parameter; and determining the oil characteristic using the output logging parameter and the correlation.08-28-2008
20090091320Methods and Apparatus for Monitoring a Property of a Formation Fluid - Methods and apparatus for the characterization of formation fluids are disclosed. A downhole tool disposed in a borehole penetrating a subterranean formation obtains a NMR measurement, effects a change in a characteristic of the formation fluid, and obtains another NMR measurement subsequent to the change. Alternatively, the downhole tool effects a radial gradient of a characteristic of the formation and obtains NMR measurements at two or more selected radial distances from the wellbore wall. A parameter representative of the subterranean formation or the formation fluid is further determined from the NMR measurements.04-09-2009
20090139321DETERMINATION OF FORMATION PRESSURE DURING A DRILLING OPERATION - A drilling operation wherein a borehole can be drilled through earth formations with a drill bit at the end of a drill string, using recirculating drilling mud that flows downward through the drill string, exits through the drill bit, and returns to the earth's surface in the annulus between the drill string and the borehole wall, at least a portion of which has a mudcake thereon, and a surface pumping system for pumping the mud to recirculate. Determining true formation pressure, including the following steps: providing a measurement device, having a probe, on the drill string; controlling the mud flow rate to obtain a first measured borehole pressure and measuring, with the probe of the measurement device, as a corresponding first probe pressure, the pressure in the formation adjacent the mudcake; controlling the mud flow rate to obtain a second measured borehole pressure and measuring, with the probe of the measurement device, as a corresponding second probe pressure, the pressure in the formation adjacent the mudcake; and deriving the true formation pressure from the first and second measured borehole pressures and the first and second probe pressures.06-04-2009
20090143991MEASUREMENTS IN A FLUID-CONTAINING EARTH BOREHOLE HAVING A MUDCAKE - A method for determining true formation pressure in formations surrounding a fluid-containing borehole having a mudcake on the surface thereof, including the following steps: at a particular location in the borehole, monitoring the electrokinetic potential across the mudcake; modifying the borehole pressure at the particular location in the borehole; and determining the true formation pressure in the formations surrounding the particular location as being the borehole pressure at which the electrokinetic potential is substantially zero.06-04-2009

20100180169SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF IMPLEMENTING REMOTE BOUNDARY SCAN FEATURES - A system and method for remotely performing boundary scans on a circuit board, device and/or system across a network. A first computing component, connected to the network, includes a computer readable media including computer executable instructions. The instructions cause the computing component to maintain or access a library of test scan procedures for a plurality of subject circuit boards. At least one of the test scan procedure is downloaded to a second computing component proximate the circuit board, device and/or system. The second computing component and the test scan procedure are monitored and controlled remotely via the network.07-15-2010

20110298462METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CALIBRATING AND CORRECTING FOR COHERENT NOISE IN CASING DETECTION - Systems and methods for improved acquisition of magnetic field data for magnetic ranging while drilling are provided. In one embodiment, such a system may include a borehole assembly and data processing circuitry. The borehole assembly may include an electric current driving tool configured to cause a current to flow across a drill collar of the borehole assembly and an internal magnetometer disposed within the drill collar and between the insulated gap and an end of the borehole assembly, which may be configured to measure magnetic field signals that penetrate the drill collar. The data processing circuitry may be configured to remove all or part of a noise component of the magnetic field signals that arises due to an eccentricity in the drill collar12-08-2011

20100129607Photopolymer Stamp Manufacturing Process and Preparation System and Photopolymer Stamp Dies - A photopolymer plate manufacturing process utilizes a modified substrate and mask to generate pre-cut and interchangeable single and multi-part stamp dies. Using a modified substrate and mask, a conventional photopolymer plate can be manufactured with a plurality of independent pattern or stamp areas that are readily removable and replaceable on the substrate and do not require cutting. The resulting material is also securable to a plastic stamp or the like without an adhesive, thereby facilitating a stamp with exchangeable patterns. Additionally, with a further modified mask, the stamp dies can be manufactured in two or more separable pieces, which can then be selectively interchanged among multiple stamp dies. An alignment tool facilitates installation of the stamp dies on the stamp mechanism05-27-2010
