20130044440 | LOCKING SYSTEM FOR MODULES WITHIN A HOUSING AND A METHOD FOR FITTING - A locking system for fitting and securing modules in a housing includes at least one module, which is surrounded by a chassis and provides a plug connection at a rear side. The front side of the module disposed opposite to the rear side provides a chassis front-plate connected to the chassis. Each module can be locked by a snap-in locking device in a housing, into which the module is pushed. In order to release the snap-in locking device, an opening tool engages in the chassis front-plate. A pulling stress can be exerted on the chassis front-plate by the opening tool, and the module can be withdrawn from the housing. | 02-21-2013 |

20150289779 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIAGNOSIS OF FOCAL CORTICAL DYSPLASIA - A system and method for automatic detection of potential focal cortical dysplasias through magnetic resonance imaging. The method includes acquiring image data of a subject brain at a first resolution, analyzing the acquired image data to determine a thickness of cerebral gray matter, and matching the left cerebral hemisphere to the right cerebral hemisphere based on corresponding geometric features of the hemispheres. The method also includes generating a difference map comparing corresponding thicknesses of the hemispheres, identifying regions of abnormal differences in thickness as potential regions containing focal cortical dysplasias, and acquiring image data of the regions of abnormal differences in thickness at a second resolution. The method further includes generating images of the regions of abnormal differences in thickness from the acquired image data and displaying the images. | 10-15-2015 |

20160030670 | Blood Glucose and Insulin Control Systems and Methods - Embodiments of the invention provide a system and method for administering a pharmaceutical to an individual through a dispenser control system. Input data is acquired from an input device coupled to a controller of the dispenser control system. The controller is in communication with the input device and configured to execute a stored program to calibrate pump settings of the dispenser control system based on the acquired input data. The stored program also computes a delivery schedule based on the pump settings for the individual and activates the dispenser control system to deliver at least one dose of the pharmaceutical according to the delivery schedule. The delivery schedule is characterized by a waveform other than a square-wave. | 02-04-2016 |

20150162047 | METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR RECORDING IMPULSIVE SOUNDS - Loud sounds with fast rise times, like gunfire and explosions, can cause noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). Unfortunately, current models do not adequately explain how impulsive sounds cause NIHL, which makes it difficult to predict and prevent NIHL on battlefields and other hostile or rugged environments. Fortunately, the impulsive sounds experienced by soldiers and others working in rugged environments can be recorded using a compact, portable system that acquires, digitizes, and stores high-bandwidth audio data. An example of this system can be mounted on a helmet or other article and used to record hours of audio data at a bandwidth of 20 kHz or higher, which is broad enough to capture sounds with rise times less than 50 ms. An analog-to-digital converter (ADC) digitizes these broadband audio signals at rate of 40 kB/s or higher to preserve the impulse information. A processor transfers the digitized samples from a buffer to a memory card for later retrieval using an interrupt-driven processing technique. | 06-11-2015 |
