20090129068Maxi-storm light - An independently powered hand-held signaling device which makes use of a large capacity of LED's that are basically sandwiched creating a large cavity of transferring light. Between the two semi-transparent panels the bright light provides illumination in two directions providing illumination through info on both panels, in two opposite directions. The unit does not have to be depending on reflective light to be visible. A switch on the side of handle provides steady on or a light source for flashing mode. The unit has its own electrical power source which can be recharged from an auto or 120 volt source. The molded body handle and frame is connected and makes use of a polygon frame. Fasteners for holding the information panels allow for quick change. At the base of the unit is a feature, where the user can attach a pole for extended use or a strap to hold on to the unit. The unit is basically used while arm is extended.05-21-2009

20110162978SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING A SUBSTANTIALLY HEMATOCRIT INDEPENDENT ANALYTE CONCENTRATION - A method and system is provided to allow for determination of substantially Hematocrit independent analyte concentration. In one example, an analyte measurement system is provided that includes a test strip and a test meter. The test strip includes a reference electrode and a working electrode, in which the working electrode is coated with a reagent layer. The test meter includes an electronic circuit and a signal processor. The electronic circuit applies a plurality of voltages to the reference electrode and the working electrode over respective durations. The signal processor is configured to determine a substantially hematocrit-independent concentration of the analyte from a plurality of current values as measured by the processor upon application of a plurality of test voltages to the reference and working electrodes over a plurality of durations interspersed with rest voltages lower than the test voltages being applied to the electrodes.07-07-2011

20110046695SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ELECTRICAL STIMULATION OF THE INTERVERTEBRAL DISC - In one embodiment, a method electrically stimulates an area in a spinal disc. The method comprises: implanting at least one steerable lead at a placement site for stimulating a spinal disc such that the lead is disposed exterior and immediately adjacent to and circumferentially along an annulus of the spinal disc, the at least one lead including a plurality of electrodes distributed along a majority of a circumference of the annulus; connecting the lead to a signal generator; and generating electrical stimulation pulses using the generator to stimulate targeted portions of the spinal disc, wherein the stimulation of the targeted portion of the spinal disc sufficiently stimulates nerve tissue within the spinal disc to prevent communication of pain signals originating in the spinal disc without damaging tissue of the spinal disc.02-24-2011
