20090211827SNOWMOBILE WITH ACTIVE RIDER POSITIONING - A snowmobile has a frame with a tunnel, a straddle seat, an engine-propelled drive track, and two skis. A steering device operatively connects to the at least one ski to steer the snowmobile. The steering device is positioned such that when the standard rider sits in a standard position on the seat, his knees are disposed in front of his ankles and below his hips. The rider's knees are also disposed sufficiently far below the steering device that the rider's knees do not interfere with steering the snowmobile. This rider positioning enables the rider to easily absorb bumps and to actively position himself on the snowmobile.08-27-2009

20100226832PROCESS FOR REGENERATING CATALYST FOR A HYDROCARBON CONVERSION ZONE - In one exemplary embodiment, a unit for regenerating a hydrocarbon conversion catalyst for a hydrocarbon conversion zone can generally include passing the hydrocarbon conversion catalyst through, sequentially, a catalyst-disengaging zone having a first atmosphere, an adsorption zone having a second atmosphere, and a regeneration zone including a combustion zone; introducing an inert gas between the first atmosphere and the second atmosphere; and passing a flue gas from the combustion zone to the adsorption zone.09-09-2010
20100316541HYDROCARBON CONVERSION UNIT INCLUDING A REACTION ZONE RECEIVING TRANSFERRED CATALYST - One exemplary embodiment can include an apparatus for transferring catalyst from a regeneration zone to a reaction zone in a hydrocarbon conversion unit. The hydrocarbon conversion unit can include a transfer vessel, and first, second, and third lines. The transfer vessel can transfer regenerated catalyst from the regeneration zone at a first pressure to the reaction zone at a second pressure where the second pressure is greater than the first pressure. Generally, the first line communicates the catalyst to the transfer vessel and is coupled to a first valve to allow catalyst into the transfer vessel and the second line communicates the catalyst from the transfer vessel and is coupled to a second valve to allow catalyst out of the transfer vessel. The third line for allowing the passage of gas therethrough may be at a pressure higher than the first pressure having a first portion communicating with the transfer vessel and having a second portion coupled to third and fourth valves. Each of the third and fourth valves can have a first position that is open and a second position that is closed, which may correspond, respectively, to the opening and closing of the first and second valves to allow gas to pass therethrough.12-16-2010

20090155144Fluid Distributor for Radial-Flow Reactor - The distribution of fluids within a radial-flow reactor is improved using vertically extended cylinders distributed around the circumference of the vessel. Cylinders with a circular cross-section provide substantial vertical strength, and the configuration minimizes low-flow areas which could cause undesirable reactions. The cylinders are isolated from particles in the reactor by a particle-retaining outer conduit. The cylinders may be fabricated in panels for ease of installation and servicing.06-18-2009
20090320370Catalytic Reformer Recycle Gas Compressor Efficiency - Methods for improving the efficiency of a catalytic reforming recycle gas compressor by combining a high molecular weight light hydrocarbon process stream from a unit operation associated with the catalytic reforming process with a lower molecular weight reactor off gas recycle stream to form a combined recycle gas stream.12-31-2009

20090032440METHOD OF TRANSFERRING PARTICLES FROM ONE PRESSURE ZONE TO ANOTHER PRESSURE ZONE - One exemplary embodiment can include a method of controlling a catalyst transfer vessel cycle of loading and unloading based on an expected level of a catalyst in a downstream vessel for a hydrocarbon conversion unit. The method can include calculating an expected catalyst level in the downstream vessel based on the unloading of the catalyst transfer vessel to adjust a setpoint to change the catalyst transfer vessel cycle of loading and unloading.02-05-2009

20080224527CONTINUOUS EXTRACTION OF UNDERGROUND NARROW-VEIN METAL-BEARING DEPOSITS BY THERMAL ROCK FRAGMENTATION - A method for extracting minerals from a narrow-vein deposit by thermal fragmentation is provided. The method includes locating the vein and determining the extent thereof to form the boundaries of a stope. Access to the stope is prepared by forming a panel having an upper drift and a lower drift. Equipment for thermal fragmentation, including a burner, is installed from the upper drift. The burner moves along the panel surface in a sweeping motion, while rock chips spalled from the rock panel surface are collected. Multiple panels for processing can be realised, with lower panels being processed before upper panels, by excavating a sub-level to separate the lower and upper panels.09-18-2008

20110153236ELECTRICAL ANOMALY DETECTION METHOD AND SYSTEM - There are provided a method and a system for real time monitoring of a powered on electrical network in a facility in order to detect an electrical anomaly while the electrical network is in use. The system comprises a sensor data receiver for receiving real time sensor data including at least one measured value measured in real time by at least one sensor installed on a conductor of the electrical network in the facility while the electrical network is in use; an anomaly detector for retrieving an anomaly detection rule from an anomaly detection rule database, the rule having an identification of a required input, a formula, and a threshold reference value, for a detection of an anomaly; receiving the real time sensor data from the sensor data receiver and extracting at least one relevant measured value from the at least one measured value using the identification of the required input; comparing the at least one relevant measured value to the threshold reference value according to the formula to determine one of a presence and an absence of the anomaly in the real time sensor data; an event generator controlled by the processor for retrieving and providing anomaly monitoring data if the anomaly is determined to be present by the processor, the anomaly monitoring data including an indication of a monitoring course of action to be carried out to address the anomaly determined to be present.06-23-2011
