20100052652 | APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SPURIOUS-FREE SIGNAL RANGE MEASUREMENT FOR RF CIRCUITRY - The present invention is directed to an apparatus and methodology for performing spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) measurements on an RF circuit, such as a mixer, using a single analog input port. The present invention is designed for use when access to the intermediate frequency (IF) port in a radio frequency (RF) front-end circuit is not available, when the traditional two-port method for making an SFDR measurement is inadequate. Passing the analog input through a directional coupler between the RF combiner and the mixer facilitates the performance of the traditional third order intermodulation (IMD) test. Key differences between the single-port and traditional two-port setups are considered and examined, and experimental data obtained using the single-port setup is compared to data obtained using the traditional two-port set-up for different mixer models. Comparison of similar results yields confirmation and a calibration to account for the additional losses introduced by the directional coupler. | 03-04-2010 |

20140064526 | METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A SPEAKER ARRAY TO PROVIDE SPATIALIZED, LOCALIZED, AND BINAURAL VIRTUAL SURROUND SOUND - A system and method for producing a binaural and localized audio signal to a user is provided. A signal processing method is provided for delivering spatialized sound in various ways using highly optimized inverse filters to deliver narrow localized beams of sound from the included speaker array. The inventive method can be used to provide private listening areas in a public space and provide spatialization of source material for a single user to create a virtual surround sound effect. In a binaural mode, a speaker array provides two targeted beams aimed towards the primary user's ears—one discrete beam for the left ear and one discrete beam for the right ear. In a privacy mode, a privacy zone could be created in which a primary audio beam would deliver a signal of interest to the user while secondary beams would be aimed at different angles to provide a masking noise. | 03-06-2014 |

20130079952 | ENGINE IDLE PROTECTION SYSTEM - An automated vehicle shutdown and user notification method and device for shutting down an engine in a vehicle having a passive keyless entry and start ignition system where the engine has unintentionally been left running by the user is disclosed. In one aftermarket embodiment, the method is implemented in an aftermarket remote start interface module. The module comprises a micro-controller, a memory, a vehicle data bus connector that provides for interface through the vehicles onboard diagnostic (OBDII) port to the vehicle data bus. The system includes a remote start module having a radio frequency transceiver and a cellular telephone transceiver, and provides audible, visual and electronic notifications that the vehicle has been left running and that the engine will be shut off unless the shutdown sequence is deactivated. If the shutdown fails by any malfunction, the system will go into an alternative notice mode. | 03-28-2013 |
20140149025 | VEHICLE REMOTE START METHOD AND SYSTEM - An aftermarket remote vehicle control system that utilizes a factory remote door lock/unlock fob to remotely control devices on the vehicle and to control the vehicle security features and locking functions. The system is in communication with a vehicle data bus system to determine data signals transmitted on the vehicle data bus associated with RF signals received from a factory fob. The system emulates a factory programmed signals on a vehicle data bus when a predetermined set of data command signals are received. | 05-29-2014 |
