20100227295ULTRASONIC DEVICE FOR ASSESSMENT OF INTERNAL TOOTH STRUCTURE - Example embodiments of this invention include a method and a device for assessing the internal structure of the tooth. In one example, the method is comprised of emitting a sequence of ultrasonic pulses from a given point on the tooth surface into the tooth at various directions of incidence (angles of incidence) with respect to the local tooth surface, recording the corresponding sequence of ultrasonic echoes from different internal dental formations, and processing the collected ultrasonic pulse-echo and pulse-direction data to present internal structure of the tooth in quantitative or graphical form.09-09-2010

20100160908Hemostasis Device - A method and system for achieving hemostasis (the stoppage of bleeding) is described. RF (radio frequency) energy is used to ablate the surface of tissue to stop bleeding. The depth of destruction of the tissue can be controlled so as to desiccate and coagulate the tissue. In one implementation, an electrode carrier including bipolar electrodes is applied to the tissue, and RF energy transmitted through the bipolar electrodes to ablate the tissue. A layer of desiccated tissue can be created as well as coagulation of the tissue to achieve hemostasis.06-24-2010
20100228245Method and System for Transcervical Tubal Occlusion - A medical device and procedure is described for occluding a fallopian tube. A tubal occlusion device is inserted into a uterine cavity. The device includes an RF applicator head including an electrode carrier with one or more bipolar electrodes thereon. During insertion, the RF applicator head can be in a closed position. The RF applicator head is positioned at a tubal ostium of a fallopian tube, such that a distal tip of the RF applicator head advances into the tubal ostium. The RF applicator head is deployed into an open position such that the RF applicator head approximates the shape of the uterine cavity in a region of the tubal ostium. Current is passed through the one or more bipolar electrodes to the tubal ostium to destroy tissue to a known depth, which precipitates a healing response in surrounding tissue that over time scars and occludes the fallopian tube.09-09-2010

20090103769COGNITIVE CONTROL FRAMEWORK FOR AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF APPLICATION PROGRAMS EXPOSURE A GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE - The present invention relates generally to automatic control of software application programs and image analysis and, more specifically, to analyzing graphical component, an execution scenario script, and a playback component. The recording component is adapted to capture user input data and images displayed by the graphical user interface during a recording phase of execution of the application program, and to analyze the captured user input data and displayed images to generate an execution scenario (script) during the recording phase. The execution scenario may be written in a selected high level language (e.g., XML). The playback component is adapted to generate simulated user input data based on the execution scenario during a playback phase of execution of the application program, to input the simulated user input data to the application program, to perform image analysis on images displayed by the graphical user interface as a result of processing the simulated user input data during the playback phase and captured displayed images from the recording phase; and to automatically control execution of the application program based at least in part on the image analysis.04-23-2009
