20100017213DEVICE AND METHOD FOR POSTPROCESSING SPECTRAL VALUES AND ENCODER AND DECODER FOR AUDIO SIGNALS - For postprocessing spectral values which are based on a first transformation algorithm for converting the audio signal into a spectral representation, first a sequence of blocks of the spectral values representing a sequence of blocks of samples of the audio signal are provided. Hereupon, a weighted addition of spectral values of the sequence of blocks of spectral values is performed in order to obtain a sequence of blocks of postprocessed spectral values, wherein the combination is performed such that for calculating a postprocessed spectral value for a frequency band and a time duration a spectral value of the sequence of blocks for the frequency band and the time duration and a spectral value for another frequency band or another time duration are used, wherein the combination is further performed such that such weighting factors are used that the postprocessed spectral values are an approximation to the spectral values as they are obtained by converting the audio signal into a spectral representation using a second transformation algorithm which is different from the first transformation algorithm. The postprocessed spectral values are in particular used for a difference formation within a scalable encoder or for an addition within a scalable decoder, respectively.01-21-2010

20100230249CONVEYOR BELT DRIVE SPROCKET RETENTION SYSTEM - A drive sprocket retention system is provided for use in a belt conveyor in which a plurality of drive sprockets are mounted on a rotatable element having an axial keyway formation. The retention system is defined by a key arrangement disposed in the keyway formation of the rotatable element, wherein a recessed portion of a key is received and retained between each drive sprocket and the rotatable element without the need for threaded fasteners. The retention system is movable between a locked position and a release position, wherein the spacing between the drive sprockets is substantially fixed when the retention system is in the locked position, and the drive sprockets are independently movable along the longitudinal length of the rotatable element when the retention system is in the release position.09-16-2010
20110114457EXTRUDED RAIL WITH CONTAINED MOUNTING CAVITY - An extruded rail for mounting objects along the length of the rail that include an enclosed receiving and containment cavity. The extruded rail includes a receiving and containment cavity that extends from an inner surface of the rail. The receiving and containment cavity includes upper and lower walls and a back wall that define an enclosed containment area. An alignment notch is formed in the generally planar outer surface of the side rail and aligned with the receiving and containment cavity. When an object is to be attached to the rail, an opening is formed in the side rail at the alignment notch. As material is removed from the side rail during formation of the opening, the received material is entrapped within the receiving and containment cavity. Thus, the extruded rail of the disclosure receives and contains material removed during attachment of an object to the rail.05-19-2011

20110197806Vehicle Fuel Efficiency Monitor And Signalling Device - A fuel efficiency signal device intended to be interposed between the accelerator pedal of a vehicle and a floor below the pedal. The signal device has wedge shaped, flexible walled, self supporting air container having walls sealingly blended to adjacent walls to form the air container. The walls are a bottom wall, a fore end wall extending upwardly from the bottom wall and formed with a lateral, inwardly extending living hinge, an aft end wall extending upwardly from the bottom wall, a pair of opposite, outwardly bowed side walls extending upwardly from the bottom wall and joined to the end walls and a top wall inclined at a wedge angle to the bottom wall and joining the side walls and the end walls. A whistle extends through a wall of the air container. An adjustable air escape valve also extends through a wall of the air container device for adjustably varying the air flow rate through the air escape valve and thereby adjustably selecting a rate of accelerator pedal depression at which the whistle will emit an audible signal to the driver.08-18-2011

20120022478DRAINABLE OSTOMY POUCH - A drainable ostomy pouch is disclosed having generally parallel sidewalls of flexible sheet material joined along their edges to define a chamber therebetween and having a downwardly extending neck portion terminating in a discharge opening for draining the contents from the chamber. The neck portion of the pouch has first and second transversely extending curved spring members associated therewith and is closed by folding the neck portion upwardly. The first curved spring member is located nearer the discharge opening than the second curved spring member and each of the curved spring members is curved smoothly and outwardly relative to the neck portion. The curved spring members are located relative to one another so the first curved spring member nearer the discharge opening nests with the second curved spring member when the neck portion has been folded upwardly and can be secured using a two-part fastening system during use of the drainable ostomy pouch.01-26-2012

20120079364Finding Partition Boundaries for Parallel Processing of Markup Language Documents - A method, a computer program product and a system identify partition locations within an extended markup language (XML) document without parsing so as to process portions of said document in parallel. The XML document includes sections required to remain continuous. The document is scanned for continuous sections without parsing, and boundaries of the initial partitions are adjusted to reside outside the continuous sections to determine resulting partitions for the document. The resulting partitions may be processed in parallel to provide the document information for storage.03-29-2012
