The bandage is readily removed from the attached condition upon application of pressure to its exterior surface. Adhesive portions of the contain pockets or microcapsules filled with an adhesive-inactivating ingredient. The pockets are formed in the backing layer. Microcapsules, if present, are incorporated in the adhesive. The adhesive inactivating ingredient comprises oil from vegetable source, mineral source or fatty acids. Such effervescent supplement tablets are housed in one or more peel away packages that are adhesively attached to an external surface of a water-containing vessel, so that the effervescent supplement tablets are part of a fluid refreshment system. The packages are made from sealed polyethylene film having a continuous aluminum coating, which is moisture resistant and enables the packages to withstand washing of the vessel. Each of the packages has a notch therein to facilitate tearing. One or more packages are torn open, and the effervescent supplement tablet is emptied into the bottled water to create a custom beverage. Refill packages containing peel away effervescent supplement tablet packages can be marketed separately from the fluid refreshment system/kit, thereby enabling the effervescent supplement tablets to be purchased separately.02-26-2009
20090314215Odor control additive for animal litter - An odor control additive present in a litter formulation provides release of fragrance or odor masking scent only when litter is used by a cat or other animal within a litter box. The odor control additive comprises a plurality of fragrance scent microcapsules that contain fragrance scent oil. This central, fragrance scent oil is encapsulated in a microcapsule cell wall, which prevents evaporation of the fragrance scent oil and prevents overpowering of litter smell in a closed room resembling an unscented litter composition. When cat or animal enters the litter box, a load is applied to the fragrance scent microcapsules, which readily breaks releasing the fragrance contained therein. The fragrance scent microcapsule cell walls also degrade by swelling and degradation when wet by animal urine thereby releasing fragrance. Fragrance evaporating from the ruptured microcapsules provides odor control and a pleasant scent.12-24-2009
20100136128Odor control fragrance additive - An odor control fragrant additive comprises compacted pellets or granules infiltrated with fragrant oil. Cellulosic material, activated carbon and binder are mixed together and compacted to produce compacted pellets or granules. The cellulosic material preferably is peat moss, which swells up during absorption of fragrant oil and acts as fragrant oil storage. Fragrant oil is delivered to activated carbon that has large surface area, which evaporates the fragrance oil to release steady fragrance output. Thus, the activated carbon, which evaporates fragrance provides steady release of fragrance in the surrounding environment of fragrant compacted pellets or granules for a period of several months without overpowering the environment with excess fragrance. The fragrant compacted pellets or granules may be used to suppress malodor from trashcans or litter boxes and may provide stand-alone additions to drawers and cabinets, emitting pleasant fragrance.06-03-2010
20100323155Sent emitting patch and/or bandage - A scent emitting patch remains securely attached to the skin of a wearer and is appointed for controlled release of scents. At least one reservoir comprising pockets or microcapsules containing a scent is disposed in at least one portion of the backing layer. These pockets or microcapsules are operative to rupture upon application of pressure or scratching by the patch wearer. Upon rupture, scent is delivered to the skin to emit aroma. Pockets containing the scent are formed in the backing layer. Microcapsules, if present, are preferably incorporated in the adhesive. A plethora of aromas are provided in the form of a perfume or cologne and correlating shapes can be used to form the patch.
