20110040950TRANSLATION LOOK-ASIDE BUFFER - A translation look-aside buffer (TLB) is described. The TLB may include a memory populated with pointers to collections (e.g., tables) of virtual-to-physical address translations. The memory may be populated by, for example, a page fault logic in response to resolving a page fault. The TLB may also include a signal logic to receive a virtual address and to selectively provide either a miss signal or a pointer to a collection of virtual-to-physical translations. The signal may provide the miss signal upon determining that the virtual address is not associated with a stored pointer and may provide a pointer upon determining that the virtual address is associated with the pointer.02-17-2011

20080270743System and Method for Achieving Enhanced Memory Access Capabilities - A computer system, related components such as a processor agent, and related method are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the computer system includes a first core, at least one memory device including a first memory segment, and a first memory controller coupled to the first memory segment. Further, the computer system includes a fabric and at least one processor agent coupled at least indirectly to the first core and the first memory segment, and also coupled to the fabric. A first memory request of the first core in relation to a first memory location within the first memory segment proceeds to the first memory controller by way of the at least one processor agent and the fabric.10-30-2008

20080200890ANTIMICROBIAL DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES - Disposable absorbent articles comprising an absorbent material and a degradable thermoplastic polymer composition comprising an aliphatic polyester and an antimicrobial composition. The antimicrobial composition includes an antimicrobial component and an enhancer component. The aliphatic polyester and antimicrobial composition are formed into webs by melt extrusion, such as nonwovens and films, that are incorporated into disposable absorbent articles, such as disposable infant diapers, adult incontinence articles, feminine hygiene articles such as sanitary napkins, panty liners and tampons, personal care wipes and household wipes to provide odor control, control of microbial growth, and control of microbial toxin production.08-21-2008
20100240799ANTIMICROBIAL FILM-FORMING COMPOSITION, ANTIMICROBIAL FILM, AND METHOD OF VERIFYING THE PRESENCE OF AN ANTIMICROBIAL FILM - An antimicrobial film-forming composition, an antimicrobial film, and a method of verifying the presence of an antimicrobial film. The film-forming composition can include no greater than 10 weight percent of polyvinyl alcohol, from 0.05 to 15 weight percent of polyhexamethylene biguanide, from 0.001 to 10 weight percent of a quaternary ammonium compound, and water or a water-based solvent. The film-forming composition can form a water-soluble, biocidal antimicrobial film that includes no greater than 98 weight percent of polyvinyl alcohol, and from 1 to 15 weight percent of each of polyhexamethylene biguanide and the quaternary ammonium compound. The method can include applying a film-forming composition comprising an indicator dye to a surface, drying the film-forming composition to form an antimicrobial film, and triggering the antimicrobial film to trigger the indicator dye to verify the presence of the film.09-23-2010
