20080266121EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION AND DIRECTIONAL SIGNALING APPARATUS - An emergency notification and directional signaling apparatus includes an alarm remotely mountable from and responsive to an emergency event detector. The remote alarm activates one of supplementary visual, audible and/or voice message alarms which may include a pulsed strobe, and an audible sound, and/or a recorded voice message. A temperature sensor coupled to the remote alarm initiates another notification and signaling event when the ambient temperature proximate the remote alarm reaches a preset threshold. Emergency event detectors and/or mass notification devices may also activate the remote alarms throughout a building or exterior area in the event of an impending storm, tornado, earthquake, hurricane, etc., to provide localized area support and guidance.10-30-2008

20080296143Plasma Systems with Magnetic Filter Devices to Alter Film Deposition/Etching Characteristics - Plasma systems with magnetic filter devices to alter film deposition/etching characteristics by altering the effective magnetic field distribution. The magnetic filter devices are placed between the magnet or magnets and a target, typically a semiconductor wafer, and selected and configured to alter the magnetic field to obtain the desired processing results. For deposition, the magnetic filter may be chosen to provide more uniform deposition, to provide increased deposition rates at or adjacent the edges of a wafer to compensate for increased etching rates at the edges of a wafer in a subsequent etching or polishing process. For annealing and doping, the magnetic field may be altered to provide more uniform equivalent annealing or doping across the wafer. Various applications are disclosed.12-04-2008
20100178747Minimum Cost Method for Forming High Density Passive Capacitors for Replacement of Discrete Board Capacitors Using a Minimum Cost 3D Wafer-to-Wafer Modular Integration Scheme - Passive, high density, 3d IC capacitor stacks and methods that provide the integration of capacitors and integrated circuits in a wafer to wafer bonding process that provides for the integration of capacitors formed on one wafer, alone or with active devices, with one or more integrated circuits on one or more additional wafers that may be stacked in accordance with the process. Wafer to wafer bonding is preferably by thermo-compression, with grinding and chemical mechanical polishing being used to simply aspects of the process of fabrication. Various features and alternate embodiments are disclosed.07-15-2010

20100137521Thermoplastic Polymer Compositions, Methods for Making the Same, and Articles Made Therefrom - Provided are thermoplastic polymer compositions having a single melting point, articles made therefrom, and methods for elevating the melting point of low melting point polymers. Thermoplastic polymer compositions are composed of one or more high melting point polyolefins and a thermoplastic component that includes a low melting point polypropylene. High melting point polyolefins are composed of a stereoregular polypropylene having a tacticity similar to the low melting point polypropylene. The low melting point polypropylene includes, for example, propylene homopolymers and copolymers composed of propylene and one or more comonomers. Thermoplastic polymer compositions may also optionally contain any of the various additives commonly used in such polymer compositions, such as for example oils, etc. In one embodiment, thermoplastic polymer compositions are thermoplastic elastomer compositions that include an elastomeric component composed of an elastomer or rubber. The elastomeric component may be substantially or partially crosslinked to form a thermoplastic vulcanizate.06-03-2010
20110124814Thermoset Compositions with Dispersed Thermoplastic Resin Therein and Process for Making Them - A rubber composition comprising: a cured rubber; and thermoplastic resin, where the thermoplastic resin is in the form of discrete domains dispersed within a continuous phase of the cured rubber, and where the cured rubber includes silicon-containing crosslinks.05-26-2011
