20110029945NetList Maintenance in a Circuit Diagram - Maintaining a netlist while editing a circuit diagram. The circuit diagram may be displayed on a display. The circuit diagram may include a plurality of electronic components connected by nets and may also include modular block(s) which represent a circuit portion in a hierarchical fashion. A global netlist may be stored that includes information regarding the nets of the circuit diagram. User input may be received which modifies the circuit diagram. Accordingly, the global netlist may be updated in response to the user input modifying the circuit diagram. The circuit diagram may be updated on the display based on updating the global netlist. Receiving the user input and updating the global netlist and circuit diagram may be performed a plurality of times, in a dynamic fashion during edit time.02-03-2011

20090222505PEER TO PEER SOFTWARE LICENSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR TEMPORARILY RELOCATING AVAILABLE SOFTWARE LICENSES - A peer to peer software license management system that is capable of temporarily relocating available software licenses is disclosed. Any node of the peer to peer software license management system (i.e., any computer in which the software license management system software of the invention is installed) is allowed to act as a license provider, or act as a license consumer, or act as both a license provider and a license consumer. Any node of the peer to peer software license management system has the capacity to temporarily borrow a software license from another node, and to re-serve the borrowed software license to yet another node as if the node that borrowed the software license were itself a license provider. Each node of the peer to peer software license management system operates as both a license provider and a license consumer.09-03-2009
20090222926SOFTWARE LICENSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM THAT FUNCTIONS IN A DISCONNECTED OR INTERMITTENTLY CONNECTED MODE - A software license management system for a computer network is disclosed that is capable of operating in a disconnected or intermittently connected mode. The system is capable of borrowing software licenses from computer nodes in one of three modes. The three modes include a fault tolerance mode, a service licensing mode, and a normal online mode. When network instability occurs, an executive logic layer software module consults a set of rules to determine whether to automatically initiate short term software license borrowing using the fault tolerance mode or using the service licensing mode. The automatic short term software license borrowing continues as long as needed and then the normal online mode of software license borrowing is resumed.09-03-2009
20110093695SECURE OFFLINE RELOCATION OF PORTABLE SOFTWARE LICENSES - A method for the secure offline relocation of portable software licenses. The portable software license has an associated time limit. A license relocation record can be generated including the portable software license and limit information for the time limit for relocation to a second computing device operating in an offline state. The license relocation record is temporarily securely stored on a removable security device attached to a first computing device that is connected to a licensing network. The removable security device can be disconnected from the first computing device and subsequently connected to the second computing device. Provided the time limit is not exceeded, the portable software license can then be installed upon the second computing device. Upon successful installation of the portable software licenses, the license relocation record can be removed from the removable security device.04-21-2011

20100192479LOAD SENSITIVE SNOW BARRIER DEVICE - A snow-retaining device comprises a detachable upper member attached to a base anchor. The base anchor is adapted to be coupled to a roof. The upper member prevents snow from sliding off the roof during regular snow conditions. In order to prevent catastrophic damage to the roof, if a snow load on the roof exceeds a maximum threshold, the upper member detaches from the base anchor to allow some or all of the snow to slide off the roof. The device optionally integrates a snow melting device.08-05-2010
20100307295NAIL RIPPER - The invention is a tool for lifting building materials, such as shingles, while extracting nails that fastened those materials. The slots that grip the nails are a concatenation of overlapping holes, for smooth insertion of the tool past the nails, and the envelope of the tool is a surface of curves for smooth insertion of the tool under the building materials. The bottom surface is a rocker that provides a moving fulcrum for prying out the nail, giving maximum force when the nail is first gripped and smoothly moving to maximum speed of extraction as the fulcrum moves back towards the user.12-09-2010

20080219072Method and apparatus for a dynamic semiconductor memory with compact sense amplifier circuit - A high-density dynamic memory device with compact sense amplifier circuit is described. The memory device achieves high density through the use of a compact sense amplifier circuit that employs a single transistor to sense stored dynamic data. Functionality of the device is enabled by an architecture and method of operation that support a compact sense amplifier circuit. Enabling techniques include sequential sensing of memory columns, a two-pass write operation, a two-step refresh operation, a reference scheme that uses reference data stored in regular memory cells, and the application of digital signal processing to determine sensed data and cancel crosstalk noise.09-11-2008
20090284286Alias-locked loop frequency synthesizer using a regenerative sampling latch - A frequency synthesis phase-locked loop architecture using a regenerative sampling latch is described. The frequency divider typically employed in the feedback path of a frequency synthesis phase-locked loop is replaced by a regenerative sampling latch with a binary output. The regenerative sampling latch subsamples the frequency synthesizer output to produce a low-frequency aliased signal that can be processed further or directly used to lock the phase-locked loop. This architecture is referred to as an alias-locked loop. The relaxed constraints on the regenerative sampling latch make it possible to create high-speed frequency synthesizer phase-locked loops without the suffering the limitations imposed by traditional dividers connected directly to the oscillator output.11-19-2009

20100201427Level Shifter Circuits For Integrated Circuits - A level shifter circuit for integrated circuits has one or more inputs that operate in a first voltage domain, and a signal output that operates in a second voltage domain. In some embodiments, the level shifter circuit receives two complementary input signals. The level shifter uses cross-coupled PMOS transistors with drain-bulk breakdown voltage less than the gate-oxide breakdown voltage of high-voltage PMOS transistors to prevent gate-oxide breakdown caused by sub-threshold leakage of auxiliary high-voltage PMOS transistors in the off state. Permanent gate-oxide breakdown is prevented through non-permanent sub-nanoamp drain-bulk junction breakdown. The level shifter circuit has the advantages of small circuit size and low static power consumption.08-12-2010

20090256555LINEAR INDUCTIVE POSITION SENSOR - A linear position sensor having a transmitter coil which generates electromagnetic radiation when excited by a source of electrical energy and wound in a first direction. A receiver coil is contained within the transmitter coil and the receiver coil includes both a first loop wound in a first direction and a second loop wound in the opposite direction. A coupler element linearly moves along a first direction relative to the transmitter coil which varies the inductive coupling between the transmitter coil and the receiver coil as a function of the linear position of the coupler element to thereby vary the electrical output signal from the receiver coil when excited by the transmitter coil. The first and second loops of the receiver coil are linearly aligned with each other along the first direction.10-15-2009
