The receiver receives two channels in the digital broadcasting signals at the same time by selection of oscillation signals and frequency dividing in the first and the second frequency-divider sections under the control of PLL controller.11-05-2009
20100022210RECEIVING DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS USING THE SAME - In an image rejection mixer of a receiving device of the invention, when a signal of a first radio frequency band is input to input terminal, first mixer and second mixer convert the input signal of the first radio frequency band into a signal of a first intermediate frequency band by the use of a first local signal from local signal oscillation unit and a filter circuit attenuates an image disturbing signal existing in the first intermediate frequency band, and when a signal of a second radio frequency band is input to the input terminal, first mixer and second mixer convert the input signal of the second radio frequency band into a signal of a second intermediate frequency band by the use of a second local signal from the local signal oscillation unit and the filter circuit attenuates an image disturbing signal existing in the second intermediate frequency band. The first intermediate frequency band and the second intermediate frequency band are partly overlapped with each other.01-28-2010
20100260295FILTER CIRCUIT, AND RECEIVER AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE USING THE SAME FILTER CIRCUIT - Filter circuit includes Nth-order active filters switching circuit which switches shorting or non-shorting of active filter, and power-supply control circuit which controls such that a power supply of active filter is turned off when switching circuit shorts active filter. A receiver employing filter circuit turns off the power supply of active filter not needed when no interference wave exists within a given range from a desired frequency band. The foregoing structure allows lowering the power consumption of filter circuit.10-14-2010
20100321114AMPLIFIER CIRCUIT AND RECEIVER USING THE SAME - An amplifier circuit includes a variable gain amplifier that amplifies and outputs a signal from an output port, a controller operable to change an gain of the variable gain amplifier, a mixer that mixes the signal output from the output port of the variable gain amplifier with a local oscillating signal to heterodyne the signal and outputs the heterodyned signal, a filter that outputs a signal component having a predetermined frequency out of the signal output from the mixer, and a detector that detects a power level based on power of the signal output from the filter. The controller is operable to change the gain according to the first power level such that a quality level representing quality of the signal output from the filter becomes a target quality level immediately after the gain is changed. The amplifier circuit can have small power consumption.12-23-2010
20120071127AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL DEVICE, RECEIVER, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL METHOD - An automatic gain control device includes an amplifier which amplifies an input signal based on a gain control signal, and outputs an amplified signal, a converter which converts the amplified signal into a converted signal having a value corresponding to an absolute value of the amplified signal, a peak detector which removes, during a peak detection period, from values of the converted signal, a predetermined number of values which include a maximum value, and determines a peak level of the converted signal after the removing, an error calculator which calculates an error between the peak level and a reference signal, and outputs the error as an error signal, and a gain controller which updates the gain control signal based on the error signal, and outputs an updated gain control signal.03-22-2012
20120076246AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE - An automatic gain control device includes amplifiers cascaded, each having a variable gain; level measurement portions respectively corresponding to the amplifiers, where each of the level measurement portions measures a level of an output signal of a corresponding one of the amplifiers in a level measurement period indicated by a level measurement signal; error calculators respectively corresponding to the level measurement portions, where each of the error calculators compares a level measured by a corresponding one of the level measurement portions with a threshold which is set so that a corresponding one of the amplifiers will not saturate, and outputs a comparison result as an error signal; a gain computation section which updates one of the gains of the amplifiers at a time corresponding to a gain update signal, based on the error signals; and an operation controller which generates the level measurement signal and the gain update signal.03-29-2012

20090092541Hydrogen Generator and Process for Producing Hydrogen - A hydrogen generating apparatus composed of an autothermal-reforming catalyst layer, a conduit pipe for feeding a mixture of methanol and steam, a conduit pipe for feeding oxygen equipped with a flow regulator, and a hydrogen-permeable membrane disposed downstream of the autothermal-reforming catalyst layer. The hydrogen generating apparatus is equipped with a temperature-measuring device for measuring the temperature of the hydrogen-containing gas discharged from the autothermal-reforming catalyst layer. The amount of oxygen to be fed to the autothermal-reforming catalyst layer is increased or decreased by the flow regulator according to the measured temperature of the hydrogen containing gas. Thus, the heat generation by the autothermal reforming is controlled and the temperature of the hydrogen containing gas is regulated within a limited range so as to maintain the hydrogen separation step at an optimum temperature. With the hydrogen generating apparatus, the heat generated by the autothermal reforming reaction is effectively utilized in the hydrogen separation step without needing an additional means.04-09-2009
