Sheet metal moulds are produced constituting an internal shell, lower part of an external shell, upper part of an external shell with filling spout with corresponding top and bottom. Distance pins decide the wall thickness and are mounted outward from the internal shell which is led down into the lower part of external shell whereafter shell part with filling spout closes the volume between the internal and external shells which is then filled with powder through the filling spout. The pressure vessel is placed in an HIP-process container for vacuuming, sealing, supply of high-pressure inert gas such as argon, at high temperature such as 1000° C., for processing together with the distance pins to a compact and homogenous material. | 09-08-2011 |

20120111571 | METHOD FOR SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS OF PRODUCTION FROM A SUBSEA WELL FOR MEASURING SALINITY OF PRODUCED WATER AND ALSO VOLUMETRIC RATIO BETWEEN LIQUID FRACTIONS - The invention concerns a permanent subsea sampling and analysis system, which typically is integrated into a replaceable equipment module for a choke valve of a subsea production well. The analysis system separates a sample into liquid fractions consisting of crude oil, condensate and produced water and then measures the salinity of the water as well as the volumetric ratio between the liquid fractions. With this equipment it will be possible to check, at regular intervals, the development in salinity of the produced water from a singular well without disturbing the production from the well. The information from the analysis system may be used to update the calibration set-up of the multiphase flow meter of the well, or to reveal a possible water breakthrough resulting from water injection into a reservoir, or for other reservoir analyses. Due to the analysis equipment becoming permanently installed on the subsea well equipment, costs of taking samples via intervention operations from vessels are avoided, also avoiding temporary shut-down of production from other wells producing to a joint subsea manifold for the purpose of investigating which well may possibly have experienced water breakthrough. | 05-10-2012 |
20120292909 | ROTATING PRESSURE REDUCTION TURBINE WITH COG WHEELS FOR A WELL STREAM HAVING A HYDRAULIC POWER TRANSMISSION FOR OPERATION OF AN ELECTRICITY GENERATOR - A pressure reduction turbine for a hydrocarbon well stream driving a hydraulic pump, and the turbine has two cog wheels mounted laterally to a well stream. A deflector plate is positioned at the well inlet to split and direct the well stream towards the outsides of the cogwheels and to drive them with opposite rotation. The turbine is designed to give a large pressure drop. Ceramics is used in the turbine housing, in the turbine inlet and in the turbine outlet, to withstand erosion wear. A hydraulic pump is supplied with collective torque via the turbine shaft, supported by two journal bearings and is connected to the pump via a dynamic sealing arrangement. Alternatively the torque from the turbine may be transmitted by to the pump without the dynamic seal, via a magnet coupling. In an underwater implementation the turbine with the pump are equipped with an arrangement for connection or disconnection via an underwater tool system, so that the equipment may be pulled and installed from a surface vessel. The hydraulic pump leads hydraulic oil at high pressure out into a piping system where hydraulic energy, possibly from several such power sources, is led to a common hydraulic motor driving an electric generator. In a surface implementation the generator is positioned in a non-explosive environment, for example in an overpressure container. | 11-22-2012 |
20130056274 | UNDERWATER STUFFING BOX AND METHOD FOR RUNNING A DRILL STRING THROUGH THE STUFFING BOX - The invention relates to a stuffing box consists of an outer housing, an upper set and a lower set of support plates for a sleeve-shaped, flexible sealing element enclosed by a liquid filled, pressurised annulus The sets of support plates in the top and bottom of the housing respectively have an opening in the middle, exceeding the diameter of the tool joint. The inner sealing element seals radially against the drill string and axially against the support plates with pressure assistance from the annulus between the sealing element and the middle stuffing box housing. When the sealing element is rotated by the drill string the ends of the sealing element abut the upper and lower support plate set respectively and seals against the pressure from the well and outside seawater pressure. Each of the upper and lower support plate sets comprise two halves connected to an actuator each arranged for radial displacement of the halves. Each of the support plate halves comprise a cut-out arranged to be able to encircle the inside and the ends of the sealing element comprise cast-in, ceramic elements. | 03-07-2013 |
