20090149852Accurate Cutting About and Into Tissue Volumes with Electrosurgically Deployed Electrodes - Method, system and apparatus for carrying out accurate electrosurgical cutting. A thin resilient electrode is utilized at the forward end region of an instrument that is deployable from a longitudinally disposed slot positioned rearwardly of the tip of the instrument. Lateral sides of the slot extend between a forward location adjacent the tip and a rearward location. The electrode is deployed by urging it forwardly in compression to form an arch profile supported by the abutting slot sides adjacent the forward and rearward locations. Electrosurgically excitable with a cutting output, the electrode may carry out a cutting action both during its deployment and retraction into the noted slot. This permits a pivoting maneuver effective for circumscribing a volume of targeted tissue.06-11-2009

20110028970ELECTROSURGICAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING AND MODIFYING TISSUE - The present invention provides systems, apparatus and methods for selectively applying electrical energy to body tissue in order to ablate, contract, coagulate, or otherwise modify a tissue or organ of a patients. An electrosurgical apparatus includes an electrode support bearing an active electrode in the form of a plasma blade or hook having an active edge and first and second blade sides. The active edge is adapted for severing a target tissue via localized molecular dissociation of tissue components. The first and second blade sides are adapted for engaging against, and coagulating, the severed tissue. A method of the present invention comprises positioning an electrosurgical probe adjacent to the target tissue so that a blade- or hook-like active electrode is brought into at least close proximity to the target tissue in the presence of an electrically conductive fluid. A high frequency voltage is applied between the active electrode and a return electrode to effect cool ablation or other modification of the target tissue. During application of the high frequency voltage, the electrosurgical apparatus may be translated, reciprocated, or otherwise manipulated such that the active edge is moved with respect to the tissue. The present invention volumetrically ablates or otherwise modifies the target tissue with minimal or no damage to surrounding, non-target tissue.02-03-2011

20080250017SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AIDING FILE SEARCHING AND FILE SERVING BY INDEXING HISTORICAL FILENAMES AND LOCATIONS - A system, method, and computer-implementable method for aiding file searching within a file service by indexing historical filenames and locations. In response to receiving a request to alter a first name corresponding to a file within the file system to a second name, a file system manager associates the second name to the first name and to the file within the file system data structure. When receiving a request for a file, wherein the request includes the first name, the file system manager searches the file system for the file based on the first name. When determining the search based on the first name is not successful, the file system manager searches the file system data structure for the file based on the second name. When the second name is located within the file system data structure, the file system manager returns the file to fulfill the request.10-09-2008
20080256194Email Bookmark with Automatic Archiving - An email message content management method, system and program are provided for bookmarking subsets of electronic mail (email) message content for subsequent searching and retrieval. Subsets of email message content are designated and then identified to be bookmarked for subsequent searching and retrieval. Identification information such as file pointers and Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) links identifying the bookmarked email message content are generated and then indexed such that the bookmarked content can be searched. A copy of the email message is then automatically and persistently stored in a predetermined location. The bookmarked email message content can subsequently be retrieved, either by browsing the copies of the stored email messages or by performing search operations.10-16-2008
20100125691METHOD FOR POWERLESS IDENTIFICATION OF SERVER I/O SLOTS - A switch is provided that detects when a computer expansion card has been added, removed or changed. During operation, the switch is held in a depressed position by contact with a card. If the card is removed, the switch is raised and, when a second card is installed in the same slot, the switch is again depressed. The depression of the switch triggers a change signal that initiates the introduction of power to the slot for a period of time long enough for the hypervisor to detect the new device. A delay between a release and subsequent depression of the switch is measured such that when the switch is released enough time is provided to firmly seat a different card in the planar device. Following the delay, power is supplied to the slot so that the hypervisor detects the card and updates the current configuration parameters.05-20-2010

20110115247Automated Flexible Tarping System - An automated tarping system for open-topped containers includes a winding mechanism and an extension mechanism. The winding mechanism is attached to the container and to a cover and exerts a winding force to retain the cover so that the top of the container remains open. The extension mechanism utilizes a drive mechanism which exerts an extension force on a cable to pivot an arm to which a cover is attached. The arm is pivotally attached to a side of the container and is connected to the cable. When the drive mechanism exerts the extension force on the cable, the arm, which is connected, pivots with respect to the container. The cover, which is connected to the arm, is then drawn across the open-top of the container to close the top of the container as the extension force exerted by the drive mechanism overcomes the winding force generated by the winding mechanism.05-19-2011
