Multi-Compartment Package - A method for making a multi-compartment microwavable package having one or more open or closed compartments within the package, and method and apparatus for manufacturing the same, constructed by modification to existing vertical form, fill and seal packaging machines. The invention involves producing a multi-compartment bag having an internal permeable wall between compartments from a single sheet of flexible packaging film. A food product can be placed into the first compartment and steam pack can be placed into the second compartment. | 02-19-2009
PARTIALLY METALLIZED FILM HAVING BARRIER PROPERTIES - A partially metallized packaging film and method of making is disclosed. In one aspect, at least one portion of a vaporized metal stream is shielded from contacting a sheet of packaging film during the metallization process. The shield is a rigid plate and can be shaped to provide a sharp transition from transparent film to opaque film, or it can provide a gradual transition from transparent film to opaque film. The partially metallized packaging film can be used with a form, fill and seal machine or other packaging machine to create a food package with a product viewing window. In one aspect, the barrier web comprises a bio-based film. | 03-11-2010
Method for Making a Stable Stacked Snack Food Configuration - A method for making asymmetrical snack pieces that can be efficiently nested or stacked. A dough preform is mated with a mold as the preform is cooked into a snack piece. The preform takes the shape of the mold. The mold is designed such that the resultant snack piece, when resting upon a flat surface, has an apex and a base of equal height. This is achieved by making the mold such that the centroid of the snack piece lies in a plane that is parallel to a plane formed by the vertices of the snack piece. The snack pieces can then be efficiently nested or stacked. | 07-01-2010

CART WASHING DEVICE AND CLEANING SYSTEM - The present invention is a device and system for cleaning and washing containers, including open containers such as carts or tanks, and closed containers such as casks and drums, for virtually any industry. The device is used in combination with any hot water pressure washer. The container washing device and system according to the invention is able to wash a container in under one minute using less than 3.2 gallons of water. The containers are loaded in a horizontal position onto a platform or portable table while maintaining a low profile. A wash head driver by a power head translates in and out of the cart to bring a turbo nozzle in close proximity with all interior cart surfaces. Advantageously a gear train in the wash head has a tooth ratio that produces a non-repeating path for the wash head which rotates the turbo nozzle in two different planes, while reciprocating linearly in and out of the container. According to the invention a custom design wash system can be provided specific to an operator's needs. | 11-17-2011

GOLF PLANING PUTTING STROKE TRAINING DEVICE - The present invention relates to a golf putting training device that trains the user to develop a planing stroke. The device achieves this effect through a combination of tactile and visual cues that reinforce the correct putting motion during repeated practice. Such cues include: a guide rail; an L-shaped guide member, a foot positioning guide; a head and eye positioning mirror; a putting line indicator; a target hoop; center, forward, and rear putting marks; and a square to the plane putter face alignment guide | 05-07-2009
