20080296137ELECTRICAL SWITCHING APPARATUS AND STORED ENERGY ASSEMBLY THEREFOR - A stored energy assembly is provided for an electrical switching apparatus, such as a circuit breaker. The stored energy assembly includes a mount removably coupled to the circuit breaker housing. A stored energy mechanism, such as a spring, is coupled to the mount and is movable among charged and discharged positions. An actuating element is cooperable with the gears of a gear assembly in order to move among first and second positions corresponding to the spring being disposed in the charged and discharged positions, respectively. A manual charging mechanism and an automatic charging mechanism are coupled to the gear assembly, and move the gears, in order to move the actuating element and charge the spring. The spring, the actuating element, the gear assembly, and the charging mechanisms are coupled to the mount, thereby forming a sub-assembly. The sub-assembly is removably coupled to the circuit breaker housing.12-04-2008

20110196214Fetal Scalp Blood Analyzer - A hand-held analyzer for collecting a sample of blood from the scalp of a fetus and measuring the pH or other blood characteristic of the blood sample. The analyzer includes a probe with a proximal end and a gasket that facilitate a firm and positive placement of the probe against the scalp. The probe includes a capillary tube for collecting blood and an extensible lancet which at rest is positioned within the capillary tube. During operation, the lancet is extended to make an incision in the scalp. The lancet then retreats, and blood flows into the capillary tube. Sensors for measuring pH are in liquid communication with the capillary tube. A display on or near the hand-held analyzer shows a readout of the fetal scalp blood pH or other blood characteristic. Measuring the pH of the fetal scalp blood in utero can provide early detection of acidosis and likely hypoxia.08-11-2011
20110196219Fetal Scalp Blood Analyzer - A hand-held analyzer for collecting a sample of blood from the scalp of a fetus and measuring the pH of the blood sample. The analyzer includes a probe with a blunt proximal end that facilitates a firm and positive placement of the probe against the scalp. 20120059286Self-Powered Ablation Catheter for Renal Denervation - An ablation catheter includes a flexible shaft having length sufficient to access a patient's renal artery. An electrode arrangement is provided at the distal end of the shaft. A handle unit includes a housing configured for hand-held manipulation and is coupled to the catheter. A battery and one or both of a high frequency AC generator and ultrasound generator are provided in the housing. The battery serves as the sole source of power for the generator. The generator is configured to generate energy sufficient to ablate perivascular renal nerve tissue using energy stored in the battery. The catheter may be disposable and the housing re-usable. Both the catheter and the housing may be disposable.03-08-2012

20100102533SNOTZ SNOW SKIS - The SNOTZ Snow Skis are made from synthetic space-age material that exceeds the performance of other skis that have been produced in the past. SNOTZ skis possess the strength and flexibility of a performance ski and weighs less than its closest rival. The base, Teflon, has been compared to the surface of ice which has proved to be very slippery. This factor makes the SNOTZ Skis one of the fastest skis on the ski slopes today. There is no need for preparation of the base with ski waxes since the Teflon base has no porosity to absorb the wax. Also, the ski base has good abrasive resistance to help prevent tears, scratches, and gouges that are randomly found on the surface of the snow.04-29-2010

20100027176ARC FAULT DETECTION APPARATUS EMPLOYING A COMPARATOR WITH A CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE THRESHOLD - An arc fault detection apparatus that provides for better discrimination of electrical arcing events from nuisance loads. The arc fault detection apparatus includes an arcing sense circuit having a comparator circuit with a variable threshold voltage that varies continuously with the line voltage. The arc fault detection apparatus has reduced susceptibility to nuisance tripping in the presence of sudden changes in the load current that occur outside of a specified time window centered on each zero crossing point of the line voltage.02-04-2010

20110068948In-vehicle Christmas tree for drag racing starting and timing - In accordance with one embodiment an in-vehicle Christmas tree for drag racing starting and timing where a prior art drag tree is not available or convenient. An accelerometer integrated circuit provides means to synchronize all tree devices in a race and to detect a change in motion and/or acceleration instead of mounted stationary switches for pre-stage and stage positions of the prior art. This enables drivers the option of starting a drag race from a rolling start and/or to have predetermined distances offsetting a vehicle's starting position in relation to the other participating vehicle or vehicles, while simultaneously providing false start detection. 20110077753ENGINEERED SETPOINTS FOR AUTONOMOUS DISTRIBUTED SENSORS AND ACTUATORS - Loads on an electric power system are configured with under frequency relays in which the frequency setpoints and delay times for reclosure are uniformly distributed. If demand exceeds supply in the system, frequency will decrease. The decrease in frequency will actuate relays and reduce load to the point where demand will meet the available supply. After its engineered delay time, each relay will attempt to close contact and reestablish the load.03-31-2011
