20100011752EXHAUST MUFFLER COMPRISING A CATALYTIC CONVERTER - A catalytic muffler for an internal combustion engine of a portable working tool, e.g. a chain saw or a trimmer, having a housing designed to be directly attached to an exhaust port of an engine. The housing further includes a front chamber and a rear chamber divided from each other by an intermediate baffle. The housing further having an inner housing having a first open end constituting the exhaust gas inlet located in the rear chamber. The inner housing includes a catalyst body through which essentially all exhaust gas flows when in use. A second open end of the inner housing is arranged in one of said front and rear chambers and the exhaust gas outlet of the muffler is arranged in the other chamber such that treated gas in use flows through at least one aperture in the intermediate baffle from one chamber to the other.01-21-2010

20100299736AUTOMATED SESSION ADMISSION - The present invention allows a first communication client, which is initiating a communication session, to include admission information in a session request used to establish the communication session in a regular call or conference scenario. The session request is intended to trigger a communication session between the first communication client and another communication client, which is associated with a telephony endpoint or a conferencing system having a communication client. The receiving communication client will use the admission information provided in the session request to determine whether the session is authorized. If authorized, the receiving communication client will either establish the communication session or allow the communication session to be established, as the situation dictates.11-25-2010

20110267988APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PACKET-BASED MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS - The performance of a voice conference using a packet-based conference bridge can be improved with a number of modifications. In one modification, the conference bridge receives speech indication signals from the individual packet-based terminals within the voice conference, these speech indication signals then being used by the conference bridge to select the talkers within the voice conference. This removes the need for speech detection techniques within the conference bridge, hence decreasing the required processing power and the latency within the conference bridge. In another modification, the conference bridge sends addressing control signals to the individual packet-based terminals selected as talkers, these addressing control signals directing the terminals selected as talkers to directly transmit their voice data packets to the other terminals within the voice conference. This direct transmission of voice data packets can reduce transcoding and latency within the network. These two modifications could further be combined, resulting in a conference bridge that receives speech indication signals, selects the talkers for the voice conference and outputs addressing control signal to the talkers. In this case, the advantages of the two modifications are gained as well as additional capacity advantages resulting from no voice signals actually traversing the conference bridge.11-03-2011

20090210295System and Method for Enabling Carbon Credit Rewards for Select Activities - A set of activities are identified that are part of a defined objective to reduce carbon emission. A baseline for the set of activities is determined. An actor's performance of any one of the set of activities is monitored in order to determine information about how the user performed the set of activities. A quantification (e.g. estimation) is made of the carbon conservation by the actor by comparing the information against parameters determined or identified from the baseline.08-20-2009
20090307024SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRESENTING INFORMATION ABOUT CONSERVATION ACTIVITIES OF AN ORGANIZATION - A system is provided for presenting information about waste reduction or resource preservation activities of one or more entities. The system may include at least one server resource that is programmed to generate a presentation for an online medium. The presentation may provide at least a first information item that is indicative of a determination of a reduction by a given entity in either of an identified waste byproduct or a resource consumption. The reduction is a result of one or more kinds of a conservation activity that is performed by one or more individuals in the organization.12-10-2009
