20100208033Personal Media Landscapes in Mixed Reality - An exemplary method includes accessing geometrically located data that represent one or more virtual items with respect to a three-dimensional coordinate system; generating a three-dimensional map based at least in part on real image data of a three-dimensional space as acquired by a camera; rendering to a physical display a mixed reality scene that includes the one or more virtual items at respective three-dimensional positions in a real image of the three-dimensional space acquired by the camera; and re-rendering to the physical display the mixed reality scene upon a change in the field of view of the camera. Other methods, devices, systems, etc., are also disclosed.08-19-2010
20100229130Focal-Control User Interface - A user interface and techniques for manipulating a graphical representation via indirect manipulation of focal controls are described. Generally, the user interface includes a graphical representation (e.g., an image, video, application, browser, map, etc.), one or more visible or transparent focal controls, and gesture detection functionality to detect inputs from a user. The user may provide this input via a peripheral device (e.g., a mouse, keyboard, etc.), a touch-screen display, or in another suitable manner. In each instance, the user provides an input relative to the focal control and, in response to detecting the input, the gesture detection functionality manipulates the underlying graphical representation.09-09-2010

20090314163NANOPARTICLE FILTER APPARATUS FOR AMBIENT AIR - A device for filtering nanoparticulate matter below 300 nm in size from ambient air within a defined enclosed space comprises at least one filter medium containing at least one filter material, and a fan or blower, which blows or draws the air through the filter medium does so with sufficiently low air velocity in the filter medium that the air has a long residence time in the filter medium, during which time adhesive encounters between nanoparticulate matter and the solid phase of the filter material are highly probable. This air velocity is also being sufficiently low to ensure that, once adhesion has taken place, kinetic de-adhesion by the air flow is highly improbable. Such a device allows to keep the nanoparticle count inside the enclosed space kept below 5000/cc, equivalent to ‘natural woodland’, even though external levels may exceeded 200,000/cc: the removal of nanoparticles by cleaning making this <2.5% the external count.12-24-2009
