20090230380Methods for Formation of Substrate Elements - The present invention relates to methods of forming substrate elements, including semiconductor elements such as nanowires, transistors and other structures, as well as the elements formed by such methods.09-17-2009
20110014742METHOD OF CREATING REUSABLE TEMPLATE FOR DETACHABLE THIN FILM SUBSTRATE - A structure and method operable to create a reusable template for detachable thin semiconductor substrates is provided. The template has a shape such that the 3-D shape is substantially retained after each substrate release. Prior art reusable templates may have a tendency to change shape after each subsequent reuse; the present disclosure aims to address this and other deficiencies from the prior art, therefore increasing the reuse life of the template.01-20-2011

20120090539LIQUID INFUSION DEVICE AND METHOD - A device for infusing liquid into material samples includes a container assembly configured to contain multiple material samples submerged in liquid. The material samples have pores containing air or gas. A pressure source and a vacuum source are both operatively connectable to the container assembly and alternately communicable with the container assembly to force the liquid to at least substantially fill the pores. The samples are thus ready for further processing, testing or use. A method of filling pores in material samples with liquid includes supporting multiple material samples within liquid in an airtight container assembly. The method further includes alternately applying a vacuum source and a pressure source to the container assembly, thereby replacing air with liquid in the pores of the material samples.04-19-2012

20120087833APPARATUS FOR SYNTHESIS AND ASSAYING OF MATERIALS - An apparatus for synthesis and assaying of materials is provided that significantly improves throughput efficiency by allowing for material synthesis and assaying in the same assembly while possessing the ability to reach higher pressures and higher temperatures than existing designs capable of synthesis and assaying in the same assembly. In addition, the apparatus provides for gas flow over the material sample, allowing for a number of materials to be synthesized within the apparatus by gas synthesis.04-12-2012
20120087834APPARATUS FOR SYNTHESIS AND ASSAYING OF MATERIALS WITH TEMPERATURE CONTROL ENCLOSURE ASSEMBLY - An apparatus for material synthesis and assaying includes a well assembly having a well containing material. The well assembly is configured such that the material may be synthesized within the well. A measurement device, including a gas delivery and control system is operatively connected to the well assembly and is configured to provide gas to the well for measuring at least one property of the material in the well. An enclosure assembly is provided that includes an enclosure substantially enclosing the gas delivery and control system and is configured to maintain the gas at a predetermined temperature.04-12-2012

20100302056LOCATION DISCOVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD - Systems and methods for location discovery are presented. One or more applications are run on the mobile device. At least one of the applications receives, from a server computer via the wireless communications network, location-based content based on a context determined by the server computer, the location-based content including an a location-based application associated with a location of the mobile device, the context being based on the location of the mobile device and a profile of a user of the mobile device. The application accesses the location-based content to execute the location-based application to generate a function that is personalized for the user of the mobile device based on the context, and executes the function based an input from the user of the mobile device.12-02-2010
20100305855LOCATION RELEVANCE PROCESSING SYSTEM AND METHOD - A system and method for determining a relevance of content for delivery to a mobile device is presented. Location information about a location of the mobile device is received. A set of location-based content related to the location is determined based on the location information and a user affinity of a user associated with the mobile device. The set of location-based content describes one or more places of interest to the user. A distance between each of the one or more places of interest and the mobile device is computed according to the location of the mobile device. A final relevance value for each item of content in the set of location-based content is determined, and the content from the set of location-based content is displayed according to the content's final relevance value.12-02-2010
20100331016LOCATION-BASED PROMOTION FOR A MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK - Methods and systems for location-based promotions are presented. A location of a mobile device is determined and transmitted to a server computer via a wireless communications network, along with user identification information. One or more location-based applications are run on the mobile device. At least one of the applications receives location-based content based on a context determined by the server computer. The location-based content including a promotion for a location associated with the location-based content. The application further executes a promotional function based on the promotion.12-30-2010

20110078130Word Deletion for Searches - A searcher can be configured to improve search results through the use of intelligent word deletion. A search auto categorizer (SAC) operates on the original query and returns a list of leaf categories and a distribution of probabilities among the leaf categories. The original query is parsed into word pairs and each word pair is run through the search engine. The search results for each word pair are weighted by the leaf category probabilities. A word pair is selected from the results and one of the two words is deleted from the original query. The searcher can perform exhaustive deletion where multiple truncated queries are generated from the original query and the results list from one truncated query is returned as the results list. The searcher can build up a truncated query from the original query by iteratively appending a word selected from the original query to the truncated query.03-31-2011

20100327874ELECTRO-DIFFUSION ENHANCED BIO-MOLECULE CHARGE DETECTION USING ELECTROSTATIC INTERACTION - According to one aspect, the disclosure is directed to an example embodiment in which a circuit-based arrangement includes a circuit-based substrate securing a channel, with an effective width that is not limited by the Debye screening length, along a surface of the substrate. A pair of reservoirs are included in or on the substrate and configured for containing and presenting a sample having bio-molecules for delivery in the channel. A pair of electrodes electrically couple a charge in the sample to enhance ionic current flow therein (e.g., to overcome the electrolyte screening), and a sense electrode is located along the channel for sensing a characteristic of the biological sample by using the electrostatic interaction between the enhanced ionic current flow of the sample and the sense electrode. Actual detection occurs by using a charge-signal processing circuit to process the sensed charge signal and, therefrom, provide an output indicative of a signature for the bio-molecules delivered in the channel.12-30-2010
