20110308477Dog Tug Apparatus and Method of Use - A dog tug apparatus includes a housing having a dispensing portion and a tug device configured to extend from and retract back into the housing. The tug device includes a tug having teeth scrubbing bristles extending there from. A resistance assembly resists unwinding of the tug line, and includes first and second opposing electromagnets suspended about the periphery of a slotted metal disk. A controller can adjust the resistance applied by the resistance assembly and provide an audible signal at the end of an exercise event. A recovery mechanism provides a means for rewinding the tug line about the spool after the tug line has been unwound, such as during a dog exercise event. In use, the rotation of the spool in the direction to unwind the tug line rotates a reduction gear system and results in the rotation of a treat dispensing mechanism to dispense a dog treat.12-22-2011

20090204156AUTOMATIC LENGTHENING BONE FIXATION DEVICE - A bone fixation device adapted to be coupled to bone anchors that allows movement of rods to permit a screw-rod construct to lengthen in response to bone growth without necessitating post surgical installation adjustment of the device. The bone fixation device includes a locking mechanism that is operably associated with a housing to allow relative movement of a rod and a housing in a first direction and inhibiting relative movement of the rod and the housing in a second direction.08-13-2009
20090204215EXPANDABLE VERTEBRAL DEVICE WITH CAM LOCK - An expandable cage supports adjacent vertebra in spine surgery. The expandable cage includes a first supporting member configured to engage tissue and a second supporting member operatively associated with the first supporting member. The first and second supporting members are movable relative to each other. The expandable cage further includes a cam lock mechanism configured to maintain the first and second supporting members in a fixed relative position. In another embodiment, the expandable cage includes a ring plate lock mechanism in lieu of the cam lock mechanism. The ring plate lock mechanism is adapted to maintain the first and second supporting members in a fixed relative position.08-13-2009

20110054244Adjustable device for the treatment of female urinary incontinence - A support device suitable for urethral support is adjustable for length post operatively. An elongated body has at least one everting or intersusseception section and a line going through a passage in the elongated body. The elongated body is supported in the patient and the line is adjustable by an adjustable screw. The amount of support can be changed postoperatively using an instrument inserted through the skin with a local anesthetic or even from outside the skin with no surgical intervention. The everting section changes length when adjustments are made.03-03-2011

20110188347VOLUME IMAGING FOR HYDRAULIC FRACTURE CHARACTERIZATION - Methods and systems are described for measuring effects of a hydraulic fracturing process. The techniques can utilizes cross-well seismic technology, such as used in Schlumberger's DeepLook-CS tools and service, or in some case surface to borehole or borehole to surface seismic technology. The downhole seismic sources at known locations can be conventional sources or can be other types of equipment operating at known locations such as perforation guns. The source is activated or swept creating energy which is transmitted through the formation. The energy is recorded at the receiver array and processed to yield a tomographic image indicating changes in the subterranean formation resulting from the hydraulic fracturing process. The process can be performed pre and post hydraulic fracture stimulation to generate a difference image of propped fractures in the reservoir.08-04-2011

20080232196METHOD OF ACCOUNTING FOR WAVELET STRETCH IN SEISMIC DATA - A computer-implemented method of accounting for angle-dependent wavelet stretch in seismic data based on a novel relationship between wavelet stretch and the cosine of a reflection angle of an acoustic ray. Conventional seismic data having at least one wavelet, such as data generated from a reflection seismic survey, is accessed. The data is processed such that at least one wavelet is subject to angle-dependent wavelet stretch. A reflection angle for at least one wavelet is also determined. An operator is utilized to calculate a wavelet stretch factor for at least one wavelet based on the cosine of the corresponding reflection angle of the wavelet. The wavelet stretch factor is applied to the seismic data to account for angle-dependent wavelet stretch.09-25-2008
