20080292714BONE TARGETING OF DEGRADABLE DRUG FILLED NANOPARTICLES - This invention provides a method of modifying a cellular response in a mammal. The method comprises administering to the mammal an effective amount of biodegradable nanoparticles, each of said nanoparticles comprising an active agent, a biodegradable polymer, and a bone targeting agent administering to a mammal an effective amount of a composition comprising a compound absorbed in a biodegradable nanoparticle which is attached to a bone targeting agent. The invention also provides a method for modifying a cellular response in a mammalian cell comprising contacting the mammalian cell with biodegradable nanoparticles. The invention further provides a method of delivering an exogenous substance to a mammal. The method comprises administering to the mammal a composition comprising the exogenous substance absorbed into a biodegradable nanoparticle, wherein the biodegradable nanoparticle is covalently attached to a bone targeting agent. The invention also provides a composition and a process for preparing the composition comprising a biologically active or therapeutic agent of compound, a biodegradable nanoparticle, and a bone targeting agent.11-27-2008
20090011975TARGETED BONE MARROW PROTECTION AGENTS - The invention provides a method of inhibiting cell death in a mammal. The method comprises administering to a mammal an effective amount of a composition comprising a cell protection factor covalently linked to a bone targeting agent via a linkage that is cleaved under physiological conditions, whereby the cell protection factor is released from the bone targeting agent in vivo to inhibit cell death. The invention further provides a compound comprising a cell protection factor covalently attached to a bone targeting agent via a linker that is cleaved under physiological conditions.01-08-2009

20080222673Systems, Methods, and Products for Presenting Content - Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for presenting content. Programming content is received having a program and program control data. The program control data may has a default setting followed by a data record comprising a rating value and a content attribute value. Program presentation preferences of a viewer are received that block or modify the program. When, however, the rating value and the content attribute value are missing from the data record, and when the default setting equals or exceeds the program presentation preferences, then modification of the program is not allowed. An instruction to modify the program is, instead, interpreted as another instruction to block the program from presentation.09-11-2008
20110131606Methods, Systems, and Products for Automated Control of Devices - Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for automated control of devices. A tag is received with Electronic Programming Guide data, and the tag includes control data. The tag is stripped from the Electronic Programming Guide data and communicated to a device.06-02-2011

20080229361Initial Arrangement of Interactive Program Guide - A method and system for a programmable television services client device that enables a user to navigate to an individual television service and is coupled to a programmable television services server device is provided. The client device comprises a memory for storing data. The client device also includes an interactive program guide contained in the memory that displays program information received from the headend server device. The memory of the client device stores configuration information for a plurality of initial guide arrangements. One of the initial guide arrangements is denoted in the configuration information by either the subscriber or the system operator at the headend as the selected guide for implementation at any given time. The client device also includes a processor that is responsive to the interactive program guide and the configuration information and causes the client device to display program information according to the selected initial guide arrangement.09-18-2008
