20080275340ULTRASONIC TISSUE DISPLACEMENT/STRAIN IMAGING OF BRAIN FUNCTION - Tissue Pulsatility Imaging (TPI) is an ultrasonic technique developed to measure tissue displacement or strain in the brain due to blood flow over the cardiac and respiratory cycles. Such measurements can be used to facilitate the mapping of brain function as well as to monitor cerebral vasoreactivity. Significantly, because tissue scatters ultrasound to a greater extend than does blood, using ultrasound to measure tissue displacement or strain in the brain is easier to implement than using ultrasound to measure blood flow in the brain. Significantly, transcranial Doppler sonography (TCD) has been used to measure blood flow in the brain to map brain function and monitor cerebral vasoreactivity; however, TCD can only acquire data through the three acoustic windows in the skull, limiting the usefulness of TCD. TPI is not so limited.11-06-2008

20080214315METHOD FOR RETAINING LUBRICATION FOR LIFE EXTENSION IN EXISTING SPLINED JOINT - A method for retaining lubrication in a splined joint comprises the steps of forming a seal between an inward surface of a grease seal cup and a first component, forming another seal between an outward surface of the grease seal cup and a sealing member extending from a second component, and engaging an end portion of the grease seal cup with an end portion of the first component, so that the end portion of the grease seal cup resists axial displacement of the grease seal cup during engagement of the first component with the second component. The grease seal cup of the method has a cylindrical portion integral with the end portion. The cylindrical portion has a tapered annular wall with the inward and outward surfaces. The end portion of the grease seal cup extends radially and inwardly from the cylindrical portion, so that the tapered annular wall is squeezed between the first component and the sealing member. The pre-fabricated light weight grease seal cup can be used in existing splined joints without adversely affecting the weight balance.09-04-2008

20100084533Bracing Attachment Device for Concrete Column Forms - A toggle device for attachment to a form-engaging assembly securable about the upper end of a concrete form. The toggle device can toggle between two different configurations. One configuration is suitable for attachment directly to a brace, and the other configuration is suitable for attachment to a nail plate on a brace. In one embodiment, the toggle device comprises a base plate to which an elongate first member is rigidly affixed. An elongate second member is connected to the first member by a sliding pivot connection. The sliding pivot connection is such that the second member can be moved from one position in which it is parallel to and overlapping with the first member, to another position in which it is generally perpendicular to the first member, to yet another position in which it is oblique to the first member.04-08-2010

20110145859SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETACHABLE MEDIA DEVICES AND CONTENT - Disclosed herein are systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer-readable storage media for detachable media playback. The system can detach individual channels of a media presentation from a first device and transfer them to nearby devices. The method causes a computing device to play media content having multiple channels to a user on a first device, identify a set of media playback devices nearby to the first device, identify playback capabilities and a status for each of the set of nearby devices, match a channel of the media content with at least one of the set of media playback devices and the identified playback capabilities and the status of the set of media playback devices, and transfer the matched channel to the at least one of the set of media playback devices. A central server can transfer the matched channel to other media playback devices.06-16-2011
