| 20120034119 | Double Acting Fluid Pump - A double acting dual stroke fluid pump with pressure assists is disclosed. First and second pistons are mounted to a common shaft which reciprocates during compression and suction strokes. During each of the strokes, fluid is pumped out at an outlet. This is accomplished by way of a one-way valve on the second piston. The one-way valve is opened or closed depending on whether the first and second pistons are in the compression or suction strokes. Additionally, pressure from the outlet assists in traversing the first and second pistons in the compression stroke. During the suction stroke, the fluid pressure applies a force on the first piston to counteract the fluid pressure on the second piston so that a smaller spring may be used. The size requirements of the solenoid and spring are reduced. Additionally, the fluid pump provides lower pressure spikes compared to prior art fluid pumps since fluid is pumped out during both the compression and suction strokes and also provides a more even flow of fluid out of the fluid pump. | 02-09-2012 |

| 20110212388 | ADVANCED PHASE SHIFT LITHOGRAPHY AND ATTENUATED PHASE SHIFT MASK FOR NARROW TRACK WIDTH D WRITE POLE DEFINITION - A method for patterning a wafer using a phase shifting photolithography that can produce a critical symmetrical 2-dimensional structure such as a magnetic write pole of a magnetic write head. In one aspect of the invention, a photolithographic mask has an opaque portion with narrow, transparent phase shifting regions at either side of the opaque portion. A non-phase shifted region extends beyond the narrow phase shifted portion at either side of the structure. The phase shifted regions are symmetrical about the opaque region so that the image produced on the wafer is completely symmetrical. In another aspect of the invention, a phase shifted region in formed in a transparent medium with non-phase shifted regions at either side of the phase shifted region. The transition between the phase shifted region and non-phase shifted region alone defines a pattern on the wafer, without the need for an opaque structure on the mask. | 09-01-2011 |

The one or more programming conditions may include a programming voltage and a current limit. For example, the magnitude of the programming voltage may be based on the resistance. As another example, the width of a programming voltage pulse may be based on the resistance. In some embodiments, a current limit used during programming is determined based on the memory cell resistance. | 08-25-2011 |
| 20110280059 | ALTERNATING BIPOLAR FORMING VOLTAGE FOR RESISTIVITY-SWITCHING ELEMENTS - A method and system for forming reversible resistivity-switching elements is described herein. Forming refers to reducing the resistance of the reversible resistivity-switching element, and may refer to reducing the resistance for the first time. Prior to forming the reversible resistivity-switching element it may be in a high-resistance state. The method may comprise alternating between applying one or more first voltages having a first polarity to the memory cell and applying one or more second voltages having a second polarity that is opposite the first polarity to the memory cell until the reversible resistivity-switching memory element is formed. There may be a rest period between applying the voltages of opposite polarity. | 11-17-2011 |
