20090187244METHOD OF ARTHROSCOPICALLY ASSISTED LIGAMENT RECONSTRUCTION - A plurality of supplemental femoral tunnels are formed to provide a basis for suture material fixation of graft tissue/material over cortical bone as replacement or compliment to implants; forming a plurality of supplemental tibial and femoral tunnels connecting with the commonly created tibial and femoral tunnels to provide a basis for suture material fixation of graft tissue/material over cortical bone as replacement or compliment to implants. Inserting the first end of a strand of suture material through the tibial and femoral tunnels and then through each supplemental femoral tunnel. The other end of each of each strand of suture materials is attached to a graft. Another set of strands of suture material is attached to the opposite end of the graft and through the supplemental tibial tunnels. The strands of suture material are pulled graft into the tunnels wherein the graft is positioned in the tibia and femoral tunnels for healing. The strands of suture material are tied over bone to affix the graft in place for healing. In a preferred method the supplemental tunnels are formed by drilling from inside of each tunnel. In another method the supplemental tunnels are formed by drilling from the outside to the inside of the tibial and femoral tunnels.07-23-2009
20100066802REMOTE COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING MANUAL OPERATIONS - A system and method of conveying visual images of a manual process to a remote location. A camera is aligned on an operator's head so that a line of view of the camera is essentially the same as a line of sight of the operator who is performing the manual operation. The visual image is procured by the camera and is transmitted to a remote location for a viewing by a consultant who is located at the remote location. Two way verbal communications are provided between the operator and the consultant. The manual process is viewed remotely in real time by the consultant, with the consultant viewing the manual process in essentially the same line of sight as the operator. The consultant instructs the operator in the performance of the manual process by the two way verbal communication.03-18-2010

20100323472METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF THIN SUBSTRATES - A method is provided for producing a thin substrate with a thickness below 750 microns, comprising providing a mother substrate, the mother substrate having a first main surface and a toughness; inducing a stress with predetermined stress profile in at least a portion of the mother substrate, said portion comprising the thin substrate, the induced stress being locally larger than the toughness of the mother substrate at a first depth under the main surface; such that the thin substrate is released from the mother substrate, wherein the toughness of the mother substrate at the first depth is not lowered prior to inducing the stress. The method can be used in the production of, for example, solar cells.12-23-2010
20110005582PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS HAVING METAL WRAP THROUGH AND IMPROVED PASSIVATION - A photovoltaic device is disclosed. In one aspect, the device is formed in a semiconductor substrate. It has a radiation receiving front surface and a rear surface. The device may have a first region of one conductivity type, a second region with the opposite conductivity type adjacent to the front surface, and an antireflection layer. The rear surface is covered by a dielectric layer covering also an inside surface of the via. The front surface has current collecting conductive contacts. The rear surface has conductive contacts extending through the dielectric. A conductive path is in the via for photogenerated current from the front surface. By having the dielectric all over, no aligning and masking is needed. The same dielectric serves to insulate, provide thermal protection, and helps in surface and bulk passivation. It also avoids the need for a junction region near the via, hence reducing unwanted recombination currents.01-13-2011
