20080294751ENHANCED WIDGET ARCHITECTURE - An enhanced widget architecture, in which a subscription request is transmitted from a widget to a broadcasting information source, thereby establishing a session, the subscription request identifying the widget and content. A subscription is registered at the broadcasting information source based upon the subscription request, and a service call is transmitted from the widget to the broadcasting information source, the service call effectuating a query for historical data associated with the content at the broadcasting information source. The historical data is received at the widget, updated data associated with the content is received at the broadcasting information source, and the updated data is iteratively transmitted form the broadcasting information source based upon the subscription being registered at the broadcasting information source.11-27-2008
20080307385Enhanced Widget Composition Platform - An enhanced widget composition platform, in which code is automatically generated based on receiving a selection of at least a first service and a widget engine via the web-based widget composition platform, the code, when invoked by the selected widget engine, implementing a widget that is operable to communicate with the first service.12-11-2008

20090286232METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ENHANCED SENSITIVITY IN BACTERIOPHAGE-BASED DIAGNOSTIC ASSAYS - A method of determining the presence or absence of a target microorganism in a sample to be tested, the method comprising: (a) combining with the sample an amount of bacteriophage capable of attaching to the target microorganism to create a bacteriophage-exposed sample; (b) providing conditions to the bacteriophage-exposed sample sufficient to allow the bacteriophage to attach to the target microorganism while inhibiting phage replication in a potentially cross-reactive, non-target microorganism; and (c) assaying the bacteriophage-exposed sample to detect the presence or absence of a bacteriophage marker to determine the presence or absence of the target microorganism; wherein the amount of the bacteriophage is between 10% to 70% of the threshold number of bacteriophage that the assay can detect, or between 1×1011-19-2009
20100196877METHOD OF DETECTION OF MICROORGANISMS WITH ENHANCED BACTERIOPHAGE AMPLIFICATION - A method of determining the presence or absence of a target microorganism in a sample to be tested, the method comprising: combining with the sample an amount of bacteriophage capable of attaching to the target microorganism to create a bacteriophage exposed sample, and a substance which enhances bacteriophage amplification or sensitivity; providing conditions to the bacteriophage-exposed sample sufficient to allow the bacteriophage to infect the microorganism; and assaying the bacteriophage-exposed sample to detect the presence or absence of a bacteriophage marker to determine the presence or absence of the target microorganism.08-05-2010

20110106451MULTIPLE SENSOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAPPING SOIL IN THREE DIMENSIONS - A multi-sensor system rapidly measures diffuse reflectance of soil, soil conductivity, and other soil properties in situ, in three dimensions. The system includes a tractor-drawn implement containing a sensor shank used for X-Y axis measurements, a hydraulic probe implement containing a sensor probe for −Z axis measurements, and a set of visible and near-infrared spectrometers, controls, and firmware that are shared by each implement. Both implements include optical sensors and soil electrical conductivity sensors. The probe implement incorporates a sensor that measures insertion force, and the shank implement includes a soil temperature sensor. These combinations of sensors are used to calibrate the system and to characterize the soil properties within a field or area. Geo-referenced soil measurements are collected with the shank implement to identify optimal locations for conducting sensor probe insertions. The probe implement is then used for sensor probing and for collecting soil core samples for lab analysis.05-05-2011

20110148244APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ELECTRICALLY INSULATING END TURNS OF A STATOR ASSEMBLY - An apparatus and method for providing electrical insulation between adjacent end turns at different phases within a stator assembly. In one embodiment, the invention is directed to a stator assembly comprising: a stator core having a plurality of slots; at least two coils of different phases wound on the stator core through the slots and having an end turn that extends from the stator core; and one or more separator members positioned between adjacent end turns of the coils.06-23-2011
