20110291391AIRBAG SYSTEM - In an airbag system, an airbag obtained by closing each of opposite end portions of a folded metal tube with an end cap is attached to an attachment surface of a front pillar, and the airbag is deployed along the front pillar with a gas produced by an inflator. Therefore, a pedestrian who collides with the front pillar can be protected by the airbag. Since the portion of the airbag, which is away from the end cap toward an intermediate part of the airbag in a longitudinal direction of the airbag by a predetermined distance, is connected to the attachment surface, which is located outside the end cap in the longitudinal direction of the airbag, with a stay being interposed in between, the difficulty in an inflation in a part of the airbag in the vicinity of each end cap, due to the end cap being pressed against the attachment surface when the airbag is inflating, is prevented. Accordingly, the airbag is allowed to inflate uniformly throughout the entire length of the airbag, and the intermediate part of the airbag in the longitudinal direction of the airbag is prevented from bending in a way that the intermediate part thereof moves away from the attachment surface of the front pillar; thus, a portion of the airbag which is located inward in the bending direction is prevented from being buckled. Accordingly, the deployed shape of the airbag can be stabilized, and thus the shock absorbing capability of the airbag is enhanced.12-01-2011

20110005393System and Method Extracting and Employing Compression Heat in Biogas Treatment Plant Equipment - The system and method for recycling and using the heat from compressed gas produced by a biogas treatment plant. The system includes a biogas cleaning stage and a plurality of compression and heat exchanger stages that allows the heat generated by compressed gases to be harvested. After the heat is harvested, it is delivered to a jacketed vessel containing media used to remove contaminants from the biogas. The media inside the jacketed vessel requires regeneration or stripping of harmful VOCs and other contaminants picked up from the biogas. The system also includes an inert gas generator that creates hot inert gas that is delivered to the jacketed vessel that heats the media located therein to remove contaminants. Because the jacket vessel and the media are simultaneously heated, the system's heat-up time is reduced The system also includes a heat exchanger that partially recovers the heat from the inert gas.01-13-2011

20110163038METHODS FOR HYDRODYNAMIC CONTROL OF A CONTINUOUS WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM - Methods and apparatus for removing contaminants from liquid using a continuously circulating stream of purifying media are disclosed. In one embodiment the method includes mixing a regenerated purifying media with a contaminated liquid containing diverse contaminants; co-currently transporting the purifying media and the contaminated liquid in a mixed state; removing, using the purifying media, while co-currently transporting the purifying media and the contaminated liquid, contaminants from the contaminated liquid so as to produce a mixture of a decontaminated liquid and a contaminated purifying media; and separating contaminated purifying media from the decontaminated liquid. In addition, the contaminated purifying media is contacted in counter current fashion with a regenerant solution so as to produce a regenerated purifying media and the regenerated purifying media is returned to the mixing step, whereby the continuously circulating purifying media selectively removes contaminants from the liquid.07-07-2011

20100115803Ground engaging digging tooth - A one-piece digging tooth having a socket opening to a rear end of the tooth for receiving and accommodating at least a lengthwise portion of a nose portion of an adapter extending forward from earth working equipment. The digging tooth has a top surface and a bottom surface which angularly diverge from each other between a forward end and the rear end of the tooth and two side surfaces. The tooth further includes a longitudinally elongated and centrally disposed tine with another longitudinally elongated tine outwardly cantilevered from and disposed to opposite lateral sides of and extending generally parallel to the central tine. To enhance their penetration capability, a width and thickness of all the tines constantly diminishes as the tines longitudinally extend toward the forward edge of the tooth. Opposed side surfaces on each tine are separated from each other by a longitudinally cleft whereby providing the digging tooth with at least two channels for directing materials, worked free by the tines, rearwardly toward and into the earth working equipment.05-13-2010
20110030248Tooth assembly and related method for releasably coupling a tooth to an adapter - A tooth assembly including an adapter and a tooth. The adapter has a nose portion with a first predetermined configuration. The tooth is assembled onto the adapter nose portion by relative longitudinal movement. The tooth defines a blind cavity having a second predetermined configuration and opening to a rear of the tooth. The second predetermined configuration defined by the tooth cavity is greater than the first predetermined configuration defined by the adapter nose portion such that a space is provided between the adapter nose portion and the blind cavity when the adapter and tooth are arranged in operable combination relative to each other. A securement member releasably maintains the tooth and the adapter nose portion in operable combination relative to each other. The securement member fills the space defined between the tooth cavity and the adapter nose portion to resist longitudinal movement between the tooth and the adapter nose portion. A related method for releasably coupling a tooth to an adapter is also disclosed.02-10-2011
20110191999Pin tool assembly for acting on a retaining pin for a tooth of a ground engaging implement - A pin tool assembly for forcibly removing a first type of retaining pin from digging teeth arranged in side-by-side relation across a forward edge of a digging implement. The pin tool assembly includes a tool defining a blind recess laterally disposed to one side of the tool. The tool assembly further includes an elongated extractor pin having an enlarged head portion and a shank portion extending from the head portion. Cooperating instrumentalities maintain and position the extractor pin relative the tool such that, when a force is applied to the tool, the free end of the shank portion of the pin engages with and forcibly extracts the retaining pin from the digging tooth. Preferably, the tool further defines a plurality of openings for snugly accommodating a series of retaining pins therein08-11-2011
