20080235314METHOD OF GENERATING RANDOM ACCESS PREAMBLES IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - A method of generating random access preambles includes receiving information on a source logical index and generating random access preambles in the order of increasing cyclic shift from root ZC sequences with the consecutive logical indexes from the beginning of the source logical index until a predetermined number of the random access preambles are found, wherein the consecutive logical indexes are mapped to root indexes of the root ZC sequences.09-25-2008
20110013715METHOD FOR SETTING CYCLIC SHIFT CONSIDERING FREQUENCY OFFSET - A method for establishing a cyclic shift sequence to provide against the frequency offset is disclosed. The method calculates a distance between a channel response position of the sequence and an alias channel response position caused by a frequency offset, calculates the number of cyclic shifts per group according to the calculated distance, and establishes the cyclic shift (CS)-applying interval. This method easily establishes a cyclic shift (CS) interval at a specific location having no overlapping by considering a channel response of a reception (Rx) sequence and an alias location of this reception (Rx) sequence, although a reception (Rx) signal is shifted by a channel delay spreading or a propagation delay irrespective of categories of a domain generating a sequence, so that it can greatly reduce the number of the detection errors and the false alarm rate. And, if a sequence of the cyclic shift (CS) is allocated to a cell having a frequency offset of more than a predetermined level, the present invention can minimize the influence of a frequency offset on a high-mobility cell.01-20-2011

20090067540METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING RACH PREAMBLE AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING RACH SIGNAL - A wireless communication system is disclosed. A method for constructing a RACH preamble according to a cell radius of a base station (BS) irrespective of a guard time (GT) and a method for allocating the RACH preamble are disclosed. A method for constructing a preamble of a random access channel (RACH) includes acquiring time-length information of a predetermined cyclic prefix (CP) for each cell radius of a base station (BS), acquiring sequence time-length information of a single sequence or a repeated sequence, and constructing the preamble using the predetermined CP time-length information and the sequence time-length information, irrespective of a time length of a guard time (GT).03-12-2009
20100015966Cellular radiotelephone signal which enables synchronisation at an entity of a supplementary channel by means of symbol numbering, and corresponding method, terminal and base station - A cellular radiotelephone signal is disclosed of the type that includes a main symmetrical bi-directional channel comprising a main up-link and a main down-link for the low- or medium-speed transmission of signaling and control information and data; and at least one supplementary channel which is assigned solely to the down-link and which is intended for high-speed data transmission using a multi-carrier technique, which ensures that the data are distributed over frequency/time space and which is structured in the form of pre-defined entities. Each entity contains a pre-determined number of symbols. At least one symbol from each entity of the supplementary channel includes a position identifier, which can be used to identify the position of the symbol within the entity, such that a terminal can read the symbol position identifier and deduce therefrom the start of the next entity, thereby obtaining synchronisation at the relevant entity of the supplementary channel.01-21-2010
20100105405METHODS AND PROCEDURES TO ALLOCATE UE DEDICATED SIGNATURES - A mobile terminal random access procedure is provided for obtaining uplink time synchronization and access to a network by optimizing the allocation of cyclic shifted Zadoff-Chu sequences with Zero Correlation Zone (ZC-ZCZ) as part of dedicated signatures for contention-free uplink radio access channels (RACH).04-29-2010
20100118799METHOD FOR SELECTING RACH FREAMBLE SEQUENCE FOR HIGH-SPEED MODE AND LOW-SPEED MODE - A method for selecting a RACH preamble sequence for a high-speed mode and a low-speed mode is disclosed. In the case of acquiring sequence-type information to be used by a specific UE contained in a high-mobility region, a signaling reanalysis method under a general circular shift condition is disclosed, and a method for acquiring sequence-type information via the signaling using the sequence set configured by a restricted circular shift condition is also disclosed. Finally, a method for constructing a sequence set is disclosed.05-13-2010
20100172299ENHANCEMENT OF LTE RANDOM ACCESS PROCEDURE - A method and apparatus for enhancement of the random access procedure of a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) system are provided. Enhancements include modeling one cycle in the random access procedure since only one counter is necessary and controlling the delay prior to the preamble transmission in order to reduce conflicts by multiple mobile terminals using the random access channel.07-08-2010
