20110059871Graphene Compositions And Drilling Fluids Derived Therefrom - Drilling fluids comprising graphenes and nanoplatelet additives and methods for production thereof are disclosed. Graphene includes graphite oxide, graphene oxide, chemically-converted graphene, and functionalized chemically-converted graphene. Derivatized graphenes and methods for production thereof are disclosed. The derivatized graphenes are prepared from a chemically-converted graphene through derivatization with a plurality of functional groups. Derivatization can be accomplished, for example, by reaction of a chemically-converted graphene with a diazonium species. Methods for preparation of graphite oxide are also disclosed.03-10-2011

20120031208BEAM PUMPING UNIT FOR INCLINED WELLHEAD - A method and pumping unit for use with an inclined wellhead. Proper address of the wellhead is accomplished through incorporation of an elbow-shaped walking beam. The forward section of the walking beam is fabricated such that its longitudinal axis is angled to address the inclination of the wellhead. The rearward section of the walking beam and the four-bar linkage system remains unchanged relative to a prior art pump jack intended for vertical wells. This modification is a simple and effective means of addressing an angled wellhead while preserving the well-known operating characteristics of a prior art pumping unit. Torque factors, polished rod position, speed, acceleration, stroke length, and effective counterbalance remain unchanged.02-09-2012

20080319661LOCATION-AWARE FITNESS TRAINING DEVICE, METHODS, AND PROGRAM PRODUCTS THAT SUPPORT REAL-TIME INTERACTIVE COMMUNICATION AND AUTOMATED ROUTE GENERATION - In at least one embodiment, a server receives a description of an activity of interest to a user. In response to receiving the description, a route corresponding to the activity of interest is identified and a graphical element corresponding to the route is presented. The route is stored for future reference by the user.12-25-2008
20110082641Methods and Computer Program Products for Providing Information About a User During a Physical Activity - In at least one embodiment, a method for execution on a portable fitness device of providing information about a first user engaged in a physical activity with the portable fitness device includes determining user performance data while the first user is engaged in the physical activity and determining whether or not to transmit the user performance data to a remotely located server computer system via a wide-area wireless network while the first user is engaged in the physical activity, wherein the determination of whether or not to transmit the user performance data is based on an indication of whether or not a remotely located second user is currently monitoring the first user.04-07-2011
20110191018Systems and Methods for Presenting Characteristics Associated With a Physical Activity Route - In at least one embodiment, a method for execution by a server computer system includes receiving a description of a fitness activity of interest to a user, in response to receiving the description, identifying a route corresponding to the activity of interest, and initiating the presentation of a route rating associated with the route that is based upon at least one individual rating associated with the route.08-04-2011
20110202268PORTABLE FITNESS SYSTEMS, AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF - In at least one embodiment, a method includes receiving a description of a route of interest to a user, in response to receiving the description, generating a prospective route based on the description, providing a graphical element corresponding to the prospective route to the user, and scheduling a traversal of the prospective route in a user training plan.08-18-2011
20120035487Methods for Receiving Information Relating to an Article of Footwear - In at least one embodiment, a method for providing information to a user about a fitness activity includes receiving on a portable fitness device from a shoe having an RFID tag information relating to the shoe, wherein the shoe is for wearing during the fitness activity, receiving on the portable fitness device information about the fitness activity, and displaying to the user the information relating to the shoe and the information about the fitness activity.02-09-2012
