Audio amplifier apparatus to drive a panel to produce both an audio signal and haptic feedback - A control panel apparatus includes a control panel that is vibrated to generate sound and/or haptic feedback. The control panel apparatus is configured to receive tactile input, such as a touchscreen, and to provide tactile feedback so as to function like a haptic panel, in response to a haptic signal component of a driving signal. The control panel is also configured to function as an audio speaker in response to an audio signal component of the driving signal. The haptic signal has a wider bandwidth, in the range of approximately 100-400 Hz, and the audio signal has a narrower bandwidth, in the range of approximately 20 Hz-20 kHz. The driving signal is configured to include either or both of the haptic signal and the audio signal. One or more drive elements are coupled to a control panel, each drive element driven by a driving signal. Each drive element converts the electrical driving signal to mechanical movement, thereby vibrating the control panel. In the case of multiple drive elements, each drive element is coupled to a different portion of the control panel. | 06-10-2010

SEATING SYSTEM AND A PASSENGER ACCOMMODATION UNIT FOR A VEHICLE - A passenger seat assembly for a vehicle, particularly an aircraft, which is adpated to provide self-contained, individual seating and sleeping accommodation for a passenger, said seating assembly includes a supporting structure ( | 04-02-2009
SEATING SYSTEM AND PASSENGER ACCOMMODATION UNIT FOR A VEHICLE - A seat module for a passenger vehicle is disclosed. The seat module includes a seat portion, a foot-rest portion, and a unitary supporting structure for supporting the seat portion and the foot-rest portion off the floor of the vehicle. Two spaced fixings are provided for fixing the supporting structure to one of a pair of seat tracks in a floor of the vehicle at two spaced points. A third fixing is provided for fixing the supporting structure to the other track, to thereby provide a 3-point fixing between the seat module and the seat tracks for attaching the supporting structure to the pair of seat tracks. A plurality of the seat modules can be attached to a pair of seat tracks, one adjacent another, thereby to form a plurality of seat units. Each seat unit includes the seat portion of one module and the foot-rest portion of another, adjacent module. | 01-28-2010
SEATING SYSTEM AND A PASSENGER ACCOMMODATION UNIT FOR A VEHICLE - A recliner seat assembly for a passenger vehicle is disclosed. The recliner seat assembly includes a fixed supporting portion for supporting the assembly off a floor of the vehicle, a reclinable seat portion comprising a seat-pan and a back-rest, and a seat connecting device adapted for connecting the seat portion to the supporting portion. The connecting device includes a seat reclining mechanism adapted for allowing and controlling translational movement of the seat portion relative to the supporting portion between a first upright position and a second fully reclined position. The connecting device further includes a selectively operable, bi-directional motor adapted for driving the seat portion between the first and second positions. The seat reclining mechanism includes a guiding device for reclining the back-rest progressively rearwardly relative to the supporting portion as the seat portion is moved from the first upright position to the second fully reclined position. | 02-04-2010

System And Method For Controlling An Implement To Maximize Machine Productivity And Protect a Final Grade - The disclosure describes, in one aspect, an implement control system including a controller operatively connected to an implement. The controller is adapted to receive a first signal and a second signal from a system in operative communication with the implement. The first signal is indicative of a desired load control condition and the second signal is indicative of a desired grade control condition. The controller is further adapted to determine a first target position having a first comparable characteristic associated with the first signal and to determine a second target position having a second comparable characteristic associated with the second signal. The controller is also adapted to generate a control signal to move the implement to the first target position or to the second target position based in part on the first comparable characteristic and the second comparable characteristic. | 06-23-2011

SINGLE SUPPLY DIRECT DRIVE AMPLIFIER - A driver amplifier operative from a single DC voltage supply, coupled directly to the output load without the need for DC coupling capacitors used for preventing DC reaching the output load. An onboard power supply generates a negative voltage rail that powers the output amplifiers, allowing driver amplifier operation from both positive and negative rails. Since the amplifiers can be biased at ground potential (0 volts), no significant DC voltage exists across the load and the need for DC coupling capacitors is eliminated. | 11-06-2008
HEADPHONE DRIVER/CHARGE PUMP COMBINATION - A headphone driver amplifier operative without an external negative voltage power supply, coupled directly to the headphone speakers without the need for DC coupling capacitors used for preventing DC reaching the headphones. An onboard power supply generates a negative voltage rail which powers the output amplifiers, allowing driver amplifier operation from both positive and negative rails. Since the amplifiers can be biased at ground potential (O volts), no significant DC voltage exists across the speaker load and the need for DC coupling capacitors is eliminated. | 01-01-2009
