FEMTOCELL SERVICE REGISTRATION, ACTIVATION, AND PROVISIONING - System(s) and method(s) are provided for a femto cell service framework for registration, activation, and provisioning of femtocell service. An account management service enables femtocell account creation, and registration thereof. Registration includes validation of wireless coverage for a location of operation of a femto AP, and validation of availability enhanced 911 (E911) service. As part of registration provisioning, record(s) are updated to indicate registration status. Connection of femto AP to a network interface triggers activation process; the femto AP delivers an activation request. A femto network validates registration of the connected femto AP and conducts a location tolerance check of a received actual location of the femto AP and a registered location. Upon tolerance validation, a cell identifier and radio frequency channel(s) are assigned to femto AP. When femto AP radiates wireless signal, network activation status indicators are provisioned. Handling of errors that arise during registration or activation is provided. | 02-18-2010

Intelligent Enviromental Sensor For Irrigation Systems - The invention provides a regulator system for regulating the operation of an irrigation system which is responsive to user programmed information. It has a control element for issuing watering control signals to an irrigation system, having at least one of (i) a duration programming device for programming a minimum amount of time and a maximum amount of time for the suspension of watering by the irrigation system, and (ii) a user adjustable temperature programming device for programming a minimum allowed temperature for initiating a watering period by the irrigation system. It further has an irrigation system interface for connecting said control element with the irrigation system. It also has a switch for conveying the control signals from the control element to the irrigation system via the irrigation system interface, for either permitting or prohibiting watering by the irrigation system, responsive to the control signals generated by and received from the control element. | 10-09-2008

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING ACTIVE AGENTS TO THE OSTEOMEATAL COMPLEX - Described here are devices, methods, and kits for treating sinusitis and related respiratory conditions by locally delivering active agents to the osteomeatal complex over a sustained period of time. The devices may be passively fixed within the osteomeatal complex and/or include one or more features that actively fix it within the osteomeatal complex. The devices may optionally include a portion that extends into a sinus ostium, sinus cavity, and/or the nasal passage to deliver an active agent. | 01-15-2009
DEVICE AND METHODS FOR TREATING PARANASAL SINUS CONDITIONS - Described here are paranasal sinus devices for treating paranasal sinus conditions. The devices include a cavity member, ostial member, and nasal portion. One or more of the cavity member, ostial member, and nasal portion may deliver an active agent for sustained release to treat the paranasal sinus condition. Exemplary paranasal sinus conditions are sinus inflammation due to functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) and rhinosinusitis. | 06-18-2009

Integrated learning for interactive synthetic characters - A practical approach to real-time learning for synthetic characters grounded in the techniques of reinforcement learning and informed by insights from animal training. The approach simplifies the learning task for characters by (a) enabling them to take advantage of predictable regularities in their world, (b) allowing them to make maximal use of any supervisory signals, and (c) making them easy to train by humans. An autonomous animated dog is described that can be trained with a technique used to train real dogs called “clicker training.” | 04-28-2011
