20080235430Creation and Management of Routing Table for PCI Bus Address Based Routing with Integrated DID - A method is provided for creating and managing tables for routing packets through an environment that includes multiple hosts and shared PCI switches and adapters. A Destination Identification (DID) field in the PBA is appended to a transaction packet dispatched through the PCI switches, wherein a particular DID is associated with a particular host or system image, and thus identifies the physical or virtual end point of its packet. In one embodiment, packets are routed through PCI switches in a distributed computer system comprising multiple root nodes, wherein each root node includes one or more hosts. The embodiment includes the step of creating a table or like data structure in a specified one of the switches. When a particular host of one of the root nodes becomes connected to the specified switch, a PCI Configuration Master (PCM), residing in one of the root nodes, is operated to enter a destination identifier or DID into the table. The DID is then appended as an address component, to packets directed through the specified switch from the particular host to one of the adapters. The destination identifier is also used to determine that a PCI packet, routed through the specified switch from one of the adapters, is intended for the particular root node.09-25-2008

20100006368Localized Decisions and Actions Determined from Communal Network of Observations in Order to Achieve Global Solution - A method is provided for making localized decisions and taking localized actions to achieve a global solution. In an embodiment of the present invention, acoustic impedances for impedance-tunable acoustic segments are adjusted. A first acoustic segment through an N-th acoustic segment are defined. To start the process, the first acoustic segment is designated as a leader and a noise-reducing impedance is determined therefor. This is accomplished using (i) one or more metrics associated with the acoustic wave at the leader, and (ii) the metric(s) associated with the acoustic wave at the N-th acoustic segment. The leader, the N-th acoustic segment, and each of the acoustic segments exclusive of the leader and the N-th acoustic segment, are tuned to the noise-reducing impedance. The current leader is then excluded from subsequent processing steps. The designation of leader is then given one of the remaining acoustic segments, and the process is repeated for each of the acoustic segments through an (N−1)-th one of the acoustic segments.01-14-2010

20100161610QUERY RESTRICTION FOR TIMELY AND EFFICIENT PAGING - Systems and methods are presented for retrieving records from a database and presenting them to a user through a timely and efficient query restricting process. The query request is then modified through the use of a determined partitioning field and a modified query which partitions the field relative to a partitioning value. Records are retrieved from the database. A small set of records is presented to the user, as is a prompt to retrieve more records. An application which receives query requests determines: restricting fields, partition size and whether or not the partition is within a predetermined range. 20100253128SUSPENDED PIXELATED SEATING STRUCTURE - A suspended pixelated seating structure provides ergonomic, adaptable seating support. The suspended pixelated seating structure includes multiple cooperative layers to maximize global comfort and support while enhancing adaptation to localized variations in a load, such as in the load applied when a person sits in a chair. The cooperative layers each use independent elements such as pixels, springs, support rails, and other elements to provide this adaptable comfort and support. The suspended pixelated seating structure also uses aligned material to provide a flexible yet durable suspended seating structure. Accordingly, the suspended pixelated seating structure provides maximum comfort for a wide range of body shapes and sizes.10-07-2010
20110241270MULTILAYER LOAD BEARING STRUCTURE - Support elements and support structures form the basis of ergonomic body supports for chairs, mattresses and other structures. The support elements may be individually designed according to their location and body support function. Thus, the structures that include the support elements may provide point-tailored support for any part of the body to enhance comfort, fit, and proper anatomical support.10-06-2011

20090074909Phytase-containing animal food and method - A method is described for improving the nutritional value of a foodstuff comprising a source of myo-inositol hexakisphosphate by feeding the foodstuff in combination with a phytase expressed in yeast. The method comprises the step of feeding the animal the foodstuff in combination with a phytase expressed in yeast wherein the phytase can be selected from the group consisting of AppA1, AppA2 and a site-directed mutant of AppA. The invention also enables reduction of the feed to weight gain ratio and an increase bone mass and mineral content of an animal. A foodstuff and a feed additive comprising AppA2 or a site-directed mutant of AppA are also described.03-19-2009

20110140526MODULAR ELECTRONICALLY RECONFIGURABLE BATTERY SYSTEM - An electronically reconfigurable battery includes a number of battery modules selectively interconnected by a number of electronic switches, wherein a selectable number of battery modules may be connected either in a series configuration or in a parallel configuration, as a result of placing selected switches of said plurality of switches in open states or closed states. In a parallel configuration, the battery provides power to a primary load, such as a propulsion load for a vehicle. In a series configuration, the battery is configured to provide a high voltage and high power output to a short-term and/or pulsed load, such as an additional load provided on the vehicle. Current from the battery is limited in one of three ways: a) by the batteries themselves; b) a current limiting device or system in series with the total erected battery; or c) a single level power converter or current limiter that is used to erect and charge the capacitor bank in a sequential one level at a time manner until the battery is fully erected and the capacitor is fully charged.06-16-2011

20090198502SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATED RADIO FREQUENCY SAFETY AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AT WIRELESS TRANSMISSION SITES - Maintaining information about radio transmission sites in a computer accessible database. In one aspect this is a living database consisting of hundreds of thousands of wireless sites and their unique characteristics. The database includes energy transmissions information including site specific physical locations and utilization characteristics of the sites. The System can deliver MPE maps of radio frequency radiation and site specific safety programs to any worker visiting a wireless site in the United States. These maps (and site's specific safety programs) are updated on a daily basis. The System can be accessed via the Internet by registered users. The System creates and displays MPE maps and radiation pattern maps showing gradation power densities to identify exposure dangers.08-06-2009

20100310173METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROCESSING DATA USING PRODUCT-LAW SYMMETRY DETECTION - Systems and devices for processing image or other data using product-law symmetry are described. In one implementation, an image or other collection of data has a number of samples each having an associated intensity, luminance, magnitude or other value. A sub-set of the samples is selected, and a product is computed of at least a first value associated with a first sample in the sub-set and a second value associated with a second sample in the sub-set that is different from the first sample. The resulting product can be used to provide an output, such as an enhanced image or an indication that a target is present within the sub-set of samples. In image processing applications, the product may be based upon data obtained from single or multiple images to exploit target symmetry and to distribute the effects of random noise, thereby improving target identification or otherwise enhancing the image.12-09-2010
