20110041943TRANSFER HOSE WITH MULTIPLE LAY LINES - A transfer hose with two or more lay lines located on the exterior layer of the transfer hose. The lay lines run longitudinally down the length of the hose and are preferably placed at various points along various axes, spread around the outer circumference of the transfer hose. Each lay line may or may not be equidistant from the next lay line. The lay lines include the ability to be marked with a date and/or time of placement in the current position, to allow for the hose to be laid straight and then rotated from one lay line to the next lay line. Rotation of the hose occurs after a predetermined amount of time has passed. The consistent rotation prevents one area of the interior of the hose from breaking down or wearing out from the abrasive slurry being carried inside before any other portion of the hose. The method of rotation allows the entire length and circumference of the hose to be used equally. This method and process of incremental rotation extends the life of the hose life.02-24-2011

20100130864ULTRASONIC EVALUATION OF VENOUS STRUCTURES - Provided are methods and systems for detecting a maturing arterio-venous fistula comprising a vein. An exemplary method comprises determining a wall thickness of the fistula and a lumen diameter of the fistula vein using a high frequency ultrasound imaging system. A blood pressure of the subject is determined. A circumferential vessel wall stress is determined from the measured blood pressure, the wall thickness of the fistula and a determined radius of the measured diameter of the fistula. The determined circumferential vessel stress is compared to a predetermined threshold stress to determine if the fistula is mature.05-27-2010

20100104398FASTENER FOR BATHING APPARATUS - The present invention concerns a novel fastener that will find many applications. The fastener generally includes two sections, a head section and a pin section. The pin section consists of a generally elongate shaft that is divided into a barbed section including one or more distinctive barbs and a smooth section. As described herein, the features of this fastener greatly facilitate the assembly of components of pre-fabricated bathing apparatus, such as showers and bathtubs. Advantageously, the fastener may be manufactured from plastic or any other synthetic polymer, and can therefore be lightweight and economical to produce.04-29-2010
20100115865TILE ADAPTOR - The present invention relates a novel adaptor to position tiles or tile-like elements within or around a bathing apparatus, or both. The present invention further includes a method of using the tile adaptor for the installation of tiles. In a representative embodiment, the tile adaptor includes one or more flanges along at least one of its sides to allow the installation of tiles of a variety of thicknesses at a number of places. The adaptor is integrated in the final bathing apparatus. One or more adaptors may be positioned on the floor, wall and/or ceiling of the bathing apparatus, depending on the design of the bathing enclosure. Advantageously, the tile adaptor is easy to install and to use, and it may conveniently be manufactured from a lightweight material such as extruded plastic or a synthetic polymer.05-13-2010
20110203046SEAL-LESS PANEL HOLDER FOR A SHOWER PAN - A wall panel holder for a shower pan which comprises a holding body including first and second spaced apart sidewalls. The sidewalls define a holding gap between them which is sized and shaped to permit a lower part of a wall panel to be snuggly received by it. the holding gap is located away from a perimeter wall of the shower pan so as to hold the wall panel away from the perimeter wall and to allow water to flow between the perimeter wall and under the lower part of the wall panel.08-25-2011
