20100201191 | Power Supply For By-Wire System - The invention relates to an electric power supply system for a by-wire vehicle system. There is a need for a power supply system which allows the integrity of the battery and alternator to be monitored. A vehicle electric power supply system includes a battery, an alternator, a key operated switch and at least two electronic control units (ECUs). A battery line is connected to the battery, to the second ECU, and to the key switch. An alternator line connects the alternator to the first ECU and to the key switch. A relay includes a relay switch which opens and closes a connection between the battery line and the alternator line. A relay coil is energizable to cause the relay switch to connect the battery line to the alternator line. Energization of the relay coil is controlled by one of the ECUs. This ECU causes the relay coil to move the switch element disconnect the alternator line from the battery line so that voltage from the alternator and battery can be independently tested. | 08-12-2010 |

20090079575 | Emergency ingress/egress monitoring system - A system to monitor the entry and exit of individuals from a facility and to identify individuals who safely evacuated the facility and those who have entered, but apparently have not safely evacuated it and indicated safe evacuation by use of a card reader or similar device at an emergency reporting area. The system also indicates the most likely area of a facility in which an individual may be found. Such census information is made available to emergency workers and is of significant value in rescue efforts following facility evacuations. A modification of the systems allows an attendant to monitor the entry, exit, and re-entry of individuals traveling in two or more vehicles following stops. Finally, the system includes a head count census of individuals entering large facilities in which individual identity is effectively impossible to follow and a head count census of individuals evacuating the facility identified by specific parts of the facility. | 03-26-2009 |
