20090145959Check accepting and cash dispensing automated banking machine that operates responsive to data bearing records - An automated banking machine system and method includes ATMs which accept checks and dispense cash to users. The ATMs are operated to acquire image and magnetic data from deposited checks to determine the genuineness of checks and the authority of a user to receive cash for such checks. Cash may be dispensed to the user from the ATM in exchange for the deposited check. The ATMs are also operated to read particular data from deposited currency bills in order to determine counterfeit bills. The ATMs dispense cash responsive to communications with a transaction host.06-11-2009

20090193394Subsystem architecture for providing support services for software applications - A subsystem architecture is described that provides support services for software applications of a system. The subsystem architecture includes local infrastructure components, which provide infrastructure services to the software applications. Each local infrastructure component corresponds to a single software application and is independent from another of the local infrastructure components. The subsystem architecture may further include a central service component providing central services to at least one of the local infrastructure components. The central service component is independent and unaware of the local infrastructure components. Still further, the subsystem architecture may include an administrative component for monitoring and maintaining the local infrastructure components providing infrastructure services to the software applications. The administrative component is independent and unaware of the plurality of local infrastructure components.07-30-2009
20100122252Scalable system and method thereof - A scalable system and method thereof may improve scalability and Quality of Service. The scalable system may include a first scalability adapter (scaldapter) configured to manage resource consumption of at least one component based on measured data received from the at least one component, where the component is configured to run an application, and a scalability manager (scalator) configured to modify strategies of the first scaldapter for managing the resource consumption based on measured data received from a plurality of processes, each of the plurality of processes including the first scaldapter.05-13-2010
20100229153Providing a number of web services for imaging optional medical applications - A system and a computer-implemented method are disclosed, as well as a computer readable medium, for providing a number of web services for at least one medical viewing application, so as to provide the application with application-exceeding basic functionalities with regard to a transfer management service, a data management service, a workflow management service, a report management service, a protocol management service, an operating management service and an enterprise application integration management service. A web service of at least one embodiment, in that case, includes at least one remote service component, at least one business object and at least one service component.09-09-2010
20110153345Method for operating a hospital information system - A method of operating a hospital information system, and a hospital information system are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the method includes providing a taskflow editing tool with a limited number of editing options to a user; creating a taskflow defining a number of tasks and connections of the tasks by the user using the taskflow editing tool; and performing an automated test run of the created taskflow, wherein the automated test run is checked according to a number of criteria and wherein results of the check are reported to the user.06-23-2011
20110161953METHOD FOR OPERATING A HOSPITAL INFORMATION SYSTEM - A method for operating a hospital information system, including a plurality of computer machines interconnected in a network, is provided that keeps data and configurations globally consistent during installation, upgrade or update of the system or its subsystems, and ensures the ability of the distributed subsystems to cooperate on a single machine as well as between several machines without the need to execute the software manipulations on all machines at the same time. To this end, at least one embodiment of the method includes providing a installing module on one of the computer machines; extracting the software data from the installing module and writing the software data to a hard disk of the one computer machine; providing a set of software manipulation operations; choosing a number of software manipulation operations from the set based on the software data extracted from the installing module and executing the number of software manipulation operations on the one computer machine.06-30-2011

20090183228Method for managing usage authorizations in a data processing network and a data processing network - To facilitate the work of a user with a data processing network with a number of security levels of the applications and functions to be executed, a method is proposed for managing usage authorizations in this data processing network. In at least one embodiment of the method, when a user logs in at a work station, at least one role stored in a central authorization register is allocated to the user; when an application is called up a local security module of the application determines which authorizations are granted for the role of the user; and if there is no authorization for an application-related action, a central security module accesses a central collection of security rules, the security rules indicating the circumstances, in which, when a user's authorizations are not sufficient to carry out the application-related action, the user can still carry it out and determines whether according to at least one of the security rules a usage authority is possible for the application-related action and offers this to the user.07-16-2009

20090125846Facility to Show Secondary Relationships in a Topological Graph Using an Associated View - A method, system, and computer program product for identifying the relationships between managed resources and displaying these relationships and resources in an interactive computerized system. A Relationships Display and Highlight (RDH) utility provides both an interactive view of a primary relationship via a topological graph and an interactive associated view to highlight the secondary relationships between a set of managed resources. The RDH utility links the graphical view to the associated view by displaying and/or highlighting the resources in the graphical view when secondary relationships are interactively explored in the associated view. When a secondary relationship is selected via the associated view, each resource which participates directly in the selected secondary relationship is highlighted, within the topological graph. When a resource is selected via the primary view, the RDH utility identifies a set of relationships in the associated view in which the resource participates.05-14-2009
