20090189952APPARATUS FOR JETTING DROPLETS USING SUPER-HYDROPHOBIC NOZZLE - Disclosed is an apparatus for jetting droplets using a super-hydrophobic nozzle, including a body having a chamber formed in the body to receive a predetermined amount of fluid containing liquid and particles and a nozzle formed in the side face of the body while communicating with the chamber to jet the fluid, and an actuator for generating an electric field for jetting the fluid through the nozzle, the side face of the body being of super-hydrophobic, and the actuator including an electrode located in the chamber or the nozzle or deposited on the wall surface thereof, an electrode plate spaced apart from the side face of the body at a predetermined distance with a jetting hole at a position corresponding to the nozzle, a power supply portion for applying voltage between the electrode and the electrode plate, and a control portion for controlling the power supply portion, thereby effectively realizing the initial formation of the meniscus of the fluid upon jetting through the super-hydrophobic nozzle, and increasing stability and efficiency of the jetting even upon repeated jetting.07-30-2009
20090189956DROPLET JETTING APPARATUS USING ELECTROSTATIC FORCE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD AND INK PROVIDING METHOD THEREOF - The present invention relates to a droplet jetting apparatus using electrostatic force, a manufacturing method thereof and an ink providing method thereof. The droplet jetting apparatus using electrostatic force includes a lower electrode unit in which a nozzle and a lower electrode positioned in the nozzle equipped in the upper part of a first substrate, and an ink inflow channel equipped in the lower part of the first substrate are integrally formed; an upper electrode unit having an upper electrode formed on the top surface of a second substrate and an ink discharge hole formed by being penetrated to the upper electrode from the bottom surface of the second substrate; and a bonding layer for bonding the lower electrode unit and the upper electrode unit with each other so that the nozzle is vertically aligned with the ink discharge hole. According to this configuration, the ink used in the droplet jetting apparatus is easy to select, the electrostatic force can be efficiently concentrated and manufacturing processes of the droplet jetting apparatus can be simplified.07-30-2009
20100308158FLAPPING APPARATUS WITH LARGE FLAPPING ANGLES - The present invention provides a flapping apparatus with a large flapping angle. The flapping apparatus includes a frame, a drive motor, a slider, connection links, actuating links and wings. The frame includes I-shaped plates which face each other in parallel, and coupling rods which couple the opposite corners of the upper ends of the I-shaped plates to each other. The drive motor is fastened to the frame such that a rotating shaft thereof is disposed inside the frame. The slider includes lateral bars which are reciprocated upwards and downwards. The connection links are rotatably coupled at first ends thereof to both ends of the lateral bar. The actuating links are rotatably coupled at first ends thereof to second ends of the connection links. The actuating links are rotatably coupled at second ends thereof to the coupling rods. The wings are respectively attached to the upper surfaces of the actuating links.12-09-2010
20110074859Roll-to-Roll Printing System and Method - Disclosed are a roll-to-roll printing system and method in which a large number of micro-nozzles are formed directly in a printing roll, and thus ink supplied to the central portion of the roll can be formed into micro-inkjets by inducing an electrostatic field, and furthermore, as a result of the formation of the micro-inkjets, a micro-sized pattern significantly smaller than that achievable by a prior pattern formation method can be printed on a print medium, and in addition, the relative speed of the print medium relative to the roll can be maintained at a speed close to “0” so as to improve the resolution, integration density and precision of the printed pattern.03-31-2011
