METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECONSTRUCTING A COLOR IMAGE - A method for reconstructing a color image from a sensor which comprises a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix of rows and columns is provided. The sensor is provided with a color filter array such that each pixel corresponds to one of three basic colors. The three basic colors are provided on the sensor in a predetermined pattern. The sensor outputs a detected value for each of the plurality of pixels. The method comprises the steps: for each of the plurality of pixels: accepting a detected value obtained for the corresponding one of the three basic colors and, for each of the respective two other basic colors, calculating a vertical interpolation value and a horizontal interpolation value and selecting either the vertical interpolation value or the horizontal interpolation value; outputting the accepted detected value and the selected interpolation values. The vertical interpolation and the horizontal interpolation are calculated based on the detected values for pixels in a 5×5 pixel environment around the respective pixel. | 12-23-2010

EXTERNAL FREQUENCY-QUADRUPED 1064 NM MODE-LOCKED LASER - The output of a mode-locked solid-state NIR laser having a pulse duration less than 50 picoseconds at a pulse-repetition frequency is frequency doubled in a nonlinear crystal to provide green radiation. The green radiation is type-I frequency doubled in a BBO crystal to provide UV radiation. The green radiation is focused into an elliptical spot in the BBO crystal with the major axis of the spot in the walk-off plane of the crystal. The length of the crystal is chosen to be much less than the Rayleigh range of the green radiation in the walk-off plane of the BBO crystal. | 11-04-2010

Method for making a photoluminescent article - A method for making products that glow in the dark, i.e., photoluminescent products, by coating such products with a photoluminescent pigment or ink, or with a plastic material containing the desired photoluminescent compound. Articles which are principally plastic, or having a plastic or partially plastic outer shell or covering can incorporate the photoluminescent pigment or ink directly within the plastic material itself. Photoluminescent products are also disclosed, which may also incorporate reflective material. | 11-18-2010

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF VERIFYING A VIDEO BLACKOUT EVENT - A method of verifying a blackout event is disclosed that includes receiving blackout event data from an event log database of a video distribution platform at a subscriber event transmission interface (SETI) communicating with an electronic data warehouse (EDW) system. The method also includes creating at least one EDW load-ready file that includes at least a portion of the blackout event data. | 03-05-2009

METHODS FOR VOICE COMMUNICATION THROUGH PERSONAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM - A system according to an aspect of the present invention switches between the activation/deactivation of the speaker and microphone in speakerphone mode to help ensure the quality of audio communications. The system includes a processor, a microphone, a speaker, and a data relay transceiver. The microphone, speaker, and data relay transceiver are each in communication with the processor. The system further includes a memory in communication with the processor which stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to determine a threshold based on an average amplitude of a signal provided to the speaker by the data relay transceiver; sample the amplitude of the signal; and disable the microphone and enable the speaker if the sampled amplitude is greater than the threshold. | 06-30-2011
SYSTEM FOR FACILITY MANAGEMENT OF MEDICAL DATA AND PATIENT INTERFACE - A system according to the present invention includes a processor, a device interface, a data relay transceiver, and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to receive, using the device interface, data for a plurality of patients from a medical device. The received data includes a location for at least one of the plurality of patients. The memory further stores instructions to cause the processor to transmit a message including the received data, using the data relay transceiver, to one or more of: a provided medical data server; and a provided intermediary device. The intermediary device includes a software program configured to retransmit the message to the medical data server. | 06-30-2011
METHODS FOR REMOTE PROVISIONING OF ELETRONIC DEVICES - There is provided a method and system to automatically provide software and/or firmware updates to the electronic devices, particularly mobile devices used by consumers such as portable health-care data interchange devices. There is also provided a method and system of updating software in electronic devices without requiring a wired data interface to affect changes. There is also provided a method and system for tracking the configuration of electronic devices that are sold to and configured by particular consumers, especially consumers/patients using electronic devices related to health care. Further, there are also provided a methods and systems for integrating the purchase, and ordering, and software configuration of electronic devices. | 07-07-2011
