20090158194DIRECTION-BASED DATA ENTRY SYSTEM - A direction-based data entry system displays a field having an initial value and a field location. When the user selects the field, the direction-based data entry system enters a data entry mode in which an auxiliary data entry tool is not displayed. To enter a new value for the field, the user indicates movement across the display relative to the field. As the user indicates movement, the direction-based data entry system may display an indication of a new value for the field represented by the movement. When the new value is the value that the user wants entered into the field, the user terminates the movement, which causes the new value to be the current value for the field.06-18-2009

20080215405COMPONENT BASED APPLICATIONS RUNNING IN A COMMON SHELL - Applications are provided in as usable and intuitive tasks or subtasks that can be integrated with business solutions. The tasks or subtasks can be reutilized in a code or definition of the application, mitigating the amount of code and memory needed to be installed on a user device. In addition, the tasks or subtasks can be utilized across applications, further conserving device resources. The user can be presented with the tasks or subtasks in a logical flow or progression, allowing for ease of completion of the tasks.09-04-2008
20080235627NATURAL INTERACTION BY FLOWER-LIKE NAVIGATION - An intuitive and natural menu selection pattern is provided that allows a user to quickly and easily navigate though a hierarchical menu while mitigating errors associated with making a menu selection. The hierarchical menu can be presented as a flower-like design whereby a main menu item is a central item and lower level menu items are gathered around or near its corresponding upper level menu item. As a menu item is selected, its appearance can change indicating that such item has been selected.09-25-2008

20080215664OCCASIONALLY CONNECTED EDGE APPLICATION ARCHITECTURE - User devices may have connectivity with a backend server only occasionally. Provided is a communication means for such user devices to operate offline, when connectivity is unavailable, and to seamlessly transition to online connectivity when it is available. At least a subset of information from the backend server is communicated to the user device to enable the user to perform functions with the device regardless if the device is online or offline. The information from the user device can be communicated to the backend server when connectivity is established and/or can be communicated based on a cost verses value analysis.09-04-2008

20080280093HOMOGENOUSLY BRANCHED ETHYLENE POLYMER CARPET BACKSIZING COMPOSITIONS - The present invention pertains to carpet and methods of making carpet. In one aspect, the carpet includes (a) a primary backing which has a face and a back surface, (b) a plurality of fibers attached to the primary backing and extending from the face of the primary backing and exposed at the back surface of the primary backing, (c) an adhesive backing, (d) an optional secondary backing adjacent to the adhesive backing, and (e) at least one homogeneously branched ethylene polymer. The method includes extrusion coating at least one homogeneously branched ethylene polymer onto the back surface of a primary backing to provide an adhesive backing. The method can include additional steps or procedures, either separately or in various combinations. Additional steps and procedures include washing or scouring the primary backing and fibers prior to the extrusion step, and utilizing implosion agents. The preferred homogeneously branched ethylene polymer is a substantially linear ethylene polymer. The constructions and methods described herein are particularly suited for making tufted, broad-loom carpet having improved abrasion resistance.11-13-2008
