20080272649Electrical connectivity system for use in a vehicle - An electrical connectivity system for use in a vehicle includes a first plurality of electrical devices a first plurality of electrical devices coupled to at least one utility carrier and a control module coupled to the at least one utility carrier. The first plurality of electrical devices are configured to communicate a plurality of utilities on the at least one utility carrier. The control module is also coupled to a second plurality of electrical devices and is configured to control the selection and distribution of the plurality of utilities to the second plurality of electrical devices. The control module includes a user interface configured to receive user input commands regarding the selection of utilities distributed to the second plurality of electrical devices. The control module and second plurality of electrical devices may be mounted to a modular system in the vehicle.11-06-2008
20090119720Rear Seat Entertainment System - The present rear seat entertainment system provides a second display and interface in the front section of a motor vehicle for control of a media player with a rear mounted first display. The second display shows still video images (or screen shots) from the media player for real time updates on the status of the first display in the rear section of the vehicle according to adjustments made by the second user interface. The entertainment system includes a portable controller with the second display incorporated therein.05-07-2009
20090243824INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR SYSTEM - A mirror system of a vehicle includes an interior rearview mirror assembly having a reflective element and an information input display providing a display representative of a plurality of input characters. The information input display is disposed behind the reflective element and viewable through the reflective element and a transflective mirror reflector of the reflective element when the information input display is backlit by a backlighting device. A control is operable to determine a location of a touch or proximity of an object at the reflective element and correlate the determined location to an input character of the information input display. The mirror system may include a video display for displaying video images and the information input display may be disposed at a main viewing region of the reflective element so as to provide an information input display that is larger than the video display.10-01-2009
20090284598VEHICLE VISION SYSTEM - The present vehicle vision system enhances visibility internally and externally with respect to the vehicle. A vision system is provided which is configured to switch between a plurality of modes. The system further includes a far-field effect which alters the focal length of the display in the vision system so as to reduce driver eye strain during operation. The vision system may be incorporated into various locations throughout the vehicle (e.g., the vehicle overhead console).11-19-2009
20120081915VEHICLE EXTERIOR MIRROR SYSTEM WITH LIGHT MODULE - A lighted exterior rearview mirror system of a vehicle includes an exterior rearview mirror assembly and a light module disposed at the exterior rearview mirror assembly. The light module includes a plurality of illumination sources operable to emit light. The illumination sources are individually controlled responsive to said the input to provide a customized illumination beam emanating from the exterior rearview mirror assembly. The system may include a control that is responsive to the user input to selectively individually energize the light emitting diodes, and the control may individually adjust a duty cycle of each of the light emitting diodes responsive to the user input. 20110191834Maintaining the Domain Access of a Virtual Machine - A method for maintaining domain access of a virtual machine is described. According to one embodiment, a generation of a new computer account password by an operating system is identified. The new computer account password is copied to an auxiliary storage location. An existing computer account password is replaced with the new computer account password when it is determined that a file system of the computer has been restored to a previous state. The copying of the new computer account password may be performed in response to the generation of the new computer account password. The replacing of the existing computer account password may be performed in response to the restoring of file system to the previous state.08-04-2011

20110047195METHOD OF UNIVERSAL FILE ACCESS FOR A HETEROGENEOUS COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT - An architecture and system are described that provide a unified file access service within in a managed computing environment composed of diverse networks, computing devices, and storage devices. The service provides mechanisms for remotely accessing the file systems of any managed computer or disk snapshot, independently of the computer's current state (powered on, suspended or powered off), its location within the environment, its hardware type (virtual vs. physical), its operating system type, and its file system formats. The system isolates centralized FPAs from the details of clients, proxies and storage elements by providing a service that decomposes offloaded file system access into two steps. A FPA or a requester acting on behalf of the FPA first expresses the disk set or the computer containing the file systems it wishes to access, along with requirements and preferences about the access method. The service figures out an efficient data path satisfying the FPA's needs, and then automatically configures a set of storage and computing resources to provide the data path. The service then replies with information about the resources and instructions for using them. The FPA then accesses the requested file systems using the returned information.02-24-2011
