Satellite refuelling system and method - The present invention provides a method, system and apparatus for robotic refueling of satellites. The system may include a dedicated refueling satellite launched directly from either earth, or alternatively it could be launched from another larger mother spacecraft or space station in which the refueling satellite is ferried into space in the case of the larger space craft or it may be stored on the space station until needed from which it can be launched. The system includes a robotic arm, suitable tools which can be affixed to the end effector of the robotic arm required for accessing, opening and closing the fuel fill valve on the satellite being serviced, storage and retrieval stations on a tool caddy on which the tools and various fuel fill valve caps are stored. The system is under teleoperation by a remotely located operator, for example located on earth, in the mother station or in the space station. Cameras are included focussed on the robotic arm and end effector and images are transmitted to the operator to allow the operator to direct and control the refueling procedure. The system may also be configured to be operated autonomously under computer control. | 10-02-2008

MITIGATION OF ELEMENTAL SULFUR DEPOSITION DURING PRODUCTION OF HYDROCARBON GASES - Methods of producing a sour hydrocarbon gas via production tubing intersecting a reservoir, are described, one method including contacting an underground reservoir with an aqueous composition optionally comprising an additive, the reservoir comprising hydrocarbons and sulfur compounds; displacing the composition into the reservoir by forcing a fluid (which may be a non-hydrocarbon gas, or inert gas, or nitrogen, or argon, or mixture thereof), into the reservoir, or into the production tubing; and producing at least some of the hydrocarbons and sulfur compounds from the reservoir through the production tubing, the composition wetting the production tubing and preventing substantial deposition of elemental sulfur thereon. | 11-26-2009

Expression Data Analysis Systems and Methods - Methods and applications of Global Patter Recognition (GPR), including a system for analyzing the results of real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) experiments employing micro-titer and/or microarray plates and robotic plate readers is described. The system employs a set of self-normalizing housekeeping primers or oligonucleotides on the plates/arrays and an algorithmic approach to normalizing expression data from all primers on the plate based on the reaction products of several of the self-normalizing gene primers oligonucleotides. Normalization is accomplished using simplex reactions involving these self-normalizing primers/oligonucleotides; the normalization parameters are then useable across all control and experimental reactions of the plate/array. A ranked list of genes whose amount of change is statistically significant can be determined. The accuracy of this list is enhanced by the data normalization aspect of the system. Other applications of GPR are also disclosed herein. | 01-28-2010
ANTIBODIES AND FC FUSION PROTEIN MODIFICATIONS WITH ENHANCED PERSISTENCE OR PHARMACOKINETIC STABILITY IN VIVO AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF - In certain embodiments, this present invention provides antibodies and Fc fusion proteins with enhanced pharmacokinetics, such as biotinylated antibodies or biotinylated Fc fusion polypeptides. | 08-19-2010

BIAS RELEASE CARTRIDGE - An apparatus for unsealing a pipe in a pipe assembly is disclosed. The apparatus has a seal for minimizing leakage from the pipe and a spring attaching to both the seal and the pipe assembly. If the seal is to be removed, a spring force of the spring acts against and moves the seal for removal of the seal. | 04-21-2011
SUPPLY STOP WITH CONNECTION VERIFICATION - An apparatus for connecting a conduit has a body attaching to the conduit, a seal having a shape extending around and minimizing leakage from the conduit, and a activator for enabling the seal so that the seal minimizes leakage from the conduit if the conduit is properly inserted in the body. | 04-21-2011
ANTI-ROTATION GRIPPER RING - An apparatus for minimizing rotation of a conduit has a housing that has a keyway and envelops the conduit. A gripper holds the conduit and opposes rotation of it. The gripper has a key for cooperating with the keyway such that the housing does not rotate about the gripper. | 04-21-2011
