| 20080202328 | DIAPHRAGM PUMP LINER FOR CRITICAL PROCESS APPLICATIONS - One embodiment of the invention relates to a liner for a first pump housing in a fluid pump assembly. The fluid pump assembly includes a first pump housing, a second pump housing and a flexible diaphragm disposed between the first and second pump housings. The first pump housing includes a fluid access port for providing fluid communication between an inside housing chamber of the first pump housing and an outside of the first pump housing. The second pump housing is securely mated to the first pump housing. The second pump housing includes a biasing mechanism for selectively displacing a portion of the diaphragm toward the first pump housing. The liner of the invention includes a flexible member removeably secured inside the first pump housing. The liner also includes a first portion of the member being shaped to substantially conform to the interior dimensions of the inside housing chamber and a second portion of the member shaped to substantially conform to the fluid access port. The member forms an inner liner chamber inside the inside housing chamber. The member also includes a mating portion for securing the member to the diaphragm to form a seal there between. The inner liner chamber being in fluid communication with the displaceable portion of the diaphragm. Whereby the displacement of the portion of the diaphragm expels fluid from the inner liner chamber through the fluid access port. | 08-28-2008 |

| 20100116318 | PIXELATED PHOTOVOLTAIC ARRAY METHOD AND APPARATUS - The present invention comprises a method and apparatus to increase the efficiency of photovoltaic conversion of light into electrical power and to achieve operation at higher optical power and therefore higher electrical power. Preferred embodiments increase the efficiency of photovoltaic power conversion of any source of a beam of photons by spatially dividing the beams into a plurality of individual beamlets, each beamlet focusing on an active photovoltaic region. The preferred architecture of the apparatus of the invention comprises spatially separated photovoltaic cells to substantially match the pattern of the spatially separated plurality of beamlets. Preferred embodiments result in a significant reduction in ohmic losses and current shunting, thereby increasing photovoltaic conversion efficiencies. | 05-13-2010 |

| 20090067829 | METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DAMPING LENS VIBRATION - In a method for reducing lens vibration in an image capture device, a lens movement requirement is broken up into N smaller lens move steps, and the lens is moved a first of the N smaller steps. A wait time is inserted after completing the first of the N smaller steps, and then the moving and inserting steps are repeated until the remaining N smaller move steps have been completed. The image capture device includes a voice coil motor for moving the lens under control of a controller in accordance with the lens movement requirement, which reflects a determined lens position. The voice coil motor includes springs which impart vibration to the lens during lens movement. The vibration imparted by the springs to the lens is thus actively dampened during the lens movement to the determined lens position. | 03-12-2009 |
