20120109740Integrating Simulation And Forecasting Modes In Business Intelligence Analyses - An optimization object may include fields storing parameters used by the intelligence system during business intelligence data analysis. One of these fields may include a mode type field to selectively switch between a forecasting mode to extrapolate a value from the data and a simulation mode including an optimization module to calculate a value from the data expected to maximize a particular objective. The stored parameters may include common parameters used in both modes and unique parameters to one of the two modes. The optimization object may also include fields specifying details and other data associated with a trade promotion. The analysis mode selected in the type field made be executed on data relating to the promotion details fields of the object subject to the parameters in the corresponding parameter fields.05-03-2012

20090003961DEVICE FOR MOUNTING COMPONENTS ON ONE ANOTHER WITH THE AID OF A CLAMP THAT SLIDES ON ONE COMPONENT - A device for mounting components, such as metal sheets, on one another, includes a clamp with external elastic U-shaped tongues that slide over an edge of a first component, and a section that is located between the tongues and includes an internal thread, and a screw that can engage the internal thread for mounting a second component on the first component. The screw has a thread pitch suitable for plastic materials and a correspondingly small flank angle. The internal thread has a region that is tapped, is located in, and helically extends from the central clamp section. The internal thread has more than one flight and one thread pitch for engaging the thread pitch of the screw thread.01-01-2009

20090145273Methods and Machine Tools for Processing Workpieces - The invention relates to methods and machine tools for processing workpieces, in which a workpiece and one or more processing tools are moved relative to each other with a positioning movement, an outward-stroke movement, and a return-stroke movement. In the positioning movement, the workpiece and the processing tool are positioned relative to each other in a positioning direction, in a return-stroke movement the workpiece and the processing tool are moved relative to each other and away from each other in a return-stroke direction transverse to the positioning direction, and in the outward-stroke movement the workpiece and the processing tool are moved relative to each other and towards each other in an outward-stroke direction transverse to the positioning direction. The return-stroke movement and the outward-stroke movement are executed during the positioning movement.06-11-2009
20110108533Orientating a Laser Cutting Beam - A method for orientating a focused laser cutting beam eccentrically relative to the nozzle axis of a cutting gas nozzle and a laser processing machine for performing the same, the method including: arranging a redirecting mirror in a beam path of the laser cutting beam upstream of the cutting gas nozzle, the mirror being rotated about a direction which is coaxial with the nozzle axis and/or about a direction which is perpendicular relative to the nozzle axis and which corresponds to the beam incidence direction of the laser beam on the redirecting mirror. The cutting gas nozzle and the redirecting mirror are arranged in a second structural unit of a laser processing head, for rotation about the direction corresponding to the beam incidence direction relative to a first structural unit.05-12-2011

20100306386PARAMETERIZABLE SELECTION OF A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ON THE BASIS OF NAME RESOLUTION MECHANISMS - The invention relates to a method for establishing a communication link between a communication system and a remote station by means of a communication network, whereby, in the context of the communication link, a parameterized selection of a remote station is made from several available remote stations by utilizing the name resolution mechanism. The communication forms a logical name with the help of parameters used for selecting a remote station or embeds the parameters in a logical name and transmits the formed logical name to a name resolution mechanism located in the communication network. The name resolution mechanism selects a remote station on the basis of the afore-mentioned logical name and a selection function and feeds back the communication address thereof.12-02-2010
20110026515COMMUNICATION NETWORK WITH LINE-AND PACKET-SWITCHING CONTROL - The invention relates to a common communication network with line- and packet-switching control, with telecommunication services such as call-forwarding being carried out by mean of a link between a control device and a communication network. The invention is characterized in that at least partially synchronized control (02-03-2011

20080240855VEHICLE BARRIER SYSTEM - A security barrier system for use with a trafficable surface and a site requiring protection from advancing vehicles includes a composite bed system having a plurality of elevations and comprising a first layer beneath a second layer. The first layer includes a deformable material configured to collapse when subjected to vehicle loads, and the second layer includes a pedestrian cover surface over the deformable material that conceals the deformable material. The pedestrian cover surface is configured to support pedestrian traffic over the deformable material without permanently collapsing the deformable material and to collapse along with the first layer when subjected to vehicle loads. A structure beyond the bed system is provided to resist the impact of a vehicle that has traversed the bed system.10-02-2008

20090137386Catalytically coated particle filter and method for producing the same and its use - The invention proposes a particulate filter having a catalytic coating which contains two catalysts arranged one behind the other. The first catalyst is located in the gas inlet region of the filter and contains a palladium/platinum catalyst. The second catalyst is arranged downstream of the first catalyst and preferably contains platinum alone as catalytically active component. The combination of these two catalysts provides the coated filter with a good ageing stability and resistance to sulphur poisoning.05-28-2009
20100166628CATALYST FOR REDUCING NITROGEN-CONTAINING POLLUTANTS FROM THE EXHAUST GASES OF DIESEL ENGINES - In exhaust gas purification units for decreasing nitrogen oxides in lean-burn exhaust gas of internal combustion engines by selective catalytic reduction by means of ammonia, introduction of excess ammonia leads to undesirable emissions of unused ammonia. These emissions can be decreased by means of ammonia barrier catalysts. In the ideal case, ammonia is oxidized to nitrogen and water by these catalysts. These require additional space in the exhaust gas purification unit which may have to be taken away from the space provided for the SCR main catalyst. In addition, the use of such ammonia barrier catalysts can result in overoxidation of the ammonia to nitrogen oxides.07-01-2010
